WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe in one God: holy, infinitely perfect, eternally existing in three persons—The Father, Jesus Christ our Lord, and the Holy Spirit, the giver of life; and we believe that God created the heavens and the earth out of nothing by his spoken word, and for His own glory. We believ

e that God has revealed Himself and His truth in the created order, in the Scriptures, and supremely in Jesus Christ. The Bible, contains 39 books of the Old Testament and the 27 books of the New Testament, is the Word of God, verbally and plenarily inspired by God; and that the Bible is fully trustworthy and of supreme and final authority in all that it teaches. We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, was true God and true man, existing in one person and without sin; and we believe He was crucified, died and rose bodily from the dead. We believe He ascended into heaven, and in His present life is there for us as Lord of all, High Priest, and Advocate. We believe that God created the historical parents of the entire human race, Adam and Eve. They were created in His own image and for His glory, distinct from all other living creatures, and in an original state of innocence. He created them immutably male and female. We believe that our first parents sinned by rebelling against God’s revealed will and thereby incurred both physical and Spiritual death. As a result all human beings are born with a sinful nature that leads them to sin in thought, word and deed. We believe God intends marriage to be the life-long union of one man and one woman (as determined by gender assigned at conception) having been instituted and defined by God at creation and the same affirmed by Jesus. Marriage exists for the purposes of companionship, sexual intimacy, procreation, and to display the glory of God and the love that exists between Him and His people. Therefore, God blesses sexual intimacy between husband and wife within the context of covenant marriage and condemns all other expressions of sexual union falling outside the bounds of covenant marriage. We believe in the existence of Satan, sin and evil powers, and that all these have been defeated by God in the cross of Christ. Satan actively continues his work in the world as the prince of the power of the air. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, triumphing over all Evil. All who believe in Him are justified by His shed blood and forgiven of all their sins. We believe that all who receive the gift of eternal salvation provided only through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit. They are made children of God, and as members of His body, the Church, are enabled to offer spiritual worship acceptable to God. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells and gives life to believers, enables them to understand the Scriptures, empowers and fills them for godly living, and equips them for ministry. We believe that the church is the body of Christ and is composed of all those who trust in Jesus Christ. The Church’s task in this world is to be God’s redeemed community, proclaiming the gospel of God’s redemptive love through our Lord Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth by both word and deed. We believe in the bodily resurrection of all mankind. For those who reject God’s gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, there is eternal conscious punishment. And for those who repent and receive Jesus Christ as their Savior, the sole provision for the forgiveness of their sins, there is everlasting life and fellowship with God. We believe in the blessed hope that Jesus Christ will return to this earth, personally, visibly, and imminently, in power and great glory, to gather His elect, to raise the dead, to judge the nations and to bring His kingdom to fulfillment.

Rooted – Day 12: Facing Giants & Overcoming

Good evening family and friends.

The past few days have been heavy.

Life has a way of putting things in front of us that feel bigger than we’re ready for like situations that we don't want to be in, responsibilities and even pressures. These things that don’t just challenge us physically, but spiritually and emotionally. Can I get a witness?!

Today, I want to talk about facing giants.

1 Samuel 17:45 (NIV)
“You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty…”

David didn’t ignore the giant. He didn’t pretend it wasn’t there. He faced it with confidence in God.

Here’s what I’ve learned from this. Peace isn’t something that just shows up when everything is easy. Peace is revealed in how I respond.

When I respond in my flesh here's what happens, I feel stress, I get frustrated and in some cases lose control. I feel the weight of everything all at once. No bueno.

But when I respond with a Christ-like heart, I find peace, even in the middle of the battle.

What made David different?

1. He remembered what God already did. Before Goliath, there was a lion and a bear.

Your past victories are proof that God is still with you.

2. He refused to wear what didn’t fit. Saul tried to give him armor, but it wasn’t his.

You don’t need someone else’s strength or strategy.
God will use what’s already in your hands.

3. He ran toward the giant not away

Faith doesn’t always look like waiting.
Sometimes it looks like stepping forward… even when your heart is still racing.

Hold onto this today! The giant is loud… but God is greater.

The pressure is real… but so is His presence.

The battle is in front of you… but the victory is already spoken.

Let's pray this:

Father,
Today I bring every giant in front of me to You.

The things that feel overwhelming, the weight I’ve been carrying.
Remind me that I don’t stand alone. Give me the courage to face what’s in front of me not in my strength, but in Yours.

Help me remember every victory You’ve already brought me through, and let that build my faith for today. Teach me to walk forward, even when it’s uncomfortable, knowing You go before me.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Today’s Rooted Thought is...

“I don’t fight for victory. I fight from it!”

Rooted – Day 12: 8 Expressions of Blessedness

Good morning family and friends.

This one is personal. It took me a while to learn what it really means to be humble… to walk in mercy… to truly trust God.
Not just say it—but live it.

To be hungry for God. And I’ll be honest, this didn’t come easy. I’ve learned something along the way. Peace isn’t just given, it’s manifested by the way I respond.

My experience is shaped by my response, and your's is as well.

When I respond with a Christ-like heart, with humility, patience and mercy, I find peace.

But when I respond out of my flesh, when it’s just me being me,
that’s when I step out of character. That’s when I lose that peace God already made available to me.

This is why I need to be reminded daily to surrender.

Because it’s in surrender that I experience the goodness of Christ.

Not just once, but every single day.

Jesus showed us this in Matthew 5, "the Beatitudes". This is the life He’s calling us into. Not perfection, but a transformation.

So today, I’m asking myself and I’ll ask you too:

- How am I responding today?
- Is my response reflecting Christ or just me?

Let’s choose surrender.
Let’s choose to respond like Him.

Let's pray:
Lord, remind me today to surrender. Help me respond with humility, mercy, and love. Shape my heart to reflect You in every situation. Let my life reveal Your peace, not my emotions.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The Beacon Church – Daily Word Series

Scripture (NIV)

Proverbs 3:5–6
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

Understanding

This verse is a call to full surrender. Not partial trust. Not occasional faith.

God is asking for your whole heart, especially in the areas where life doesn’t make sense.

“Lean not on your own understanding” means we stop trying to figure everything out before we trust Him.

Application

We all have areas where we struggle to trust God:

Finances
Business decisions
Family situations
Health challenges

We want clarity before obedience. But God is asking for obedience before clarity.

Trust begins where understanding ends.

Key Truth

I don’t have to understand God’s plan to trust His direction.

Let's pray,

Lord, today I choose to trust You even when I don’t understand. Help me to surrender my plans, my fears, and my need for control. Lead my steps and align my heart with Your will. Amen.

To my Beacon family.

As we enter this beautiful Christmas season, my heart is full of gratitude for each of you who has supported, and continues to support our online ministry. Your prayers, encouragement, generosity, and faithful participation have helped us shine the light of Christ far beyond the walls of any building. For that, I am deeply thankful.

Christmas reminds us of something powerful: God intentionally made a way for us to have a direct, personal relationship with Him. Through the gift of Jesus, heaven touched earth, hope stepped into humanity, and love became flesh among us.

My hope and prayer for each of you is this:

May this season fill your heart with joy, settle your spirit with peace, and provide a moment of renewal and reflection as we prepare for 2026.

May God’s presence be near, His love be felt, and His purpose be made clear in your life.

Thank you again for walking with us, worshiping with us, and growing with us. You are part of this ministry, and we are honored to be part of your faith journey.

From our family to yours, Merry Christmas, and may God bless you abundantly.

Our hearts are heavy upon hearing the tragic passing of Emman Atienza. We extend our deepest condolences and prayers to Kuya Kim Atienza and the entire family during this unimaginable time.

This heartbreaking loss is a powerful reminder that mental health matters more than we often realize.

Behind the smiles and social media posts, many are silently fighting battles we may never see. Let’s not ignore the signs. Let’s be present, listen, and reach out with love and understanding.

If you or someone you know is struggling, please don’t face it alone. Help is available. Talk to someone. Call or text 988 (U.S.) or reach your local mental health helpline.

Let’s honor Emman’s memory by spreading kindness, compassion, and awareness, and by being the light someone else may need. 💚
