WOW! 🤩

Autism Month has been incredibly busy for Southeast Iowa!

A little over a week ago, our Quad Cities and Burlington clinics had loads of fun at events with Autistic & Loved and the Burlington YMCA! We loved getting to see and hear all the laughter and excitement-- we hope everyone had a great time!

Last weekend, a group of our Davenport clinic staff and Director, Sean Saito, attended Hand in Hand's Annual Chili Cook off Event! 🌶️🔥

It was a fun opportunity to connect, enjoy some delicious homemade recipes, and support our community. From mild and savory to bold and spicy, there were so many amazing flavors to try.

We’re grateful to be part of such a great event and already looking forward to next year!

Children with Autism are up to 160 times more likely to drown than their neurotypical peers. When those with Autism engage in wandering, water is one of the top attractions.

Safety is one of our top priorities here at Autism Society of Iowa. Thanks to a generous grant from Variety - the Children's Charity of Iowa, we are 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 to offer scholarships for adaptive swim and water safety lessons for children and adults with Autism across the state of Iowa!
