Tonight Ambassadors Megan and Amara had the opportunity to help serve at the benefit for Dale at the Fire Department! They loved seeing the community come together to support Dale and his family. Tonight was such a beautiful night! Thank you to everyone who came out and thank you to our Dassel Volunteer Firefighters for everything they do! 🚒❤️

What a fun homecoming this year! Ambassador Amara spent last Friday face painting at Dassel Elementary in the morning and at the football tailgate before the game! 🎨🏈 Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table, and congratulations to the Chargers on their win! 🤍⚡️

Tonight Ambassador Megan and Amara had their first out of town event! They had such a fun time at Sparkle night at the Wild game! They were on the Jumbotron and got to ride in the Cub cart Zamboni! It was great to see all of their friends from other royalty! And to end the night the Wild came out on top! 🏒✨

On Saturday, Ambassador Megan attended Cokato’s Movie in the Park, where she got to face paint with Miss Cokato Lydia!

Megan had so much fun seeing the local kids come out to enjoy the movie, and she is grateful for such a great evening. ✨🎞️

Labor Day Weekend ❤️

This week we’re reminiscing coronation, as well as what the girls were up to following their crowning moments. On Sunday, the girls jumped into Red Rooster Days festivities and attended the community worship service, spent some time watching the Minn-e-Rod tractor pull, enjoyed food provided by the Gethsemane Lutheran Youth, and watched the annual firework show. On Monday, the girls were up bright and early to light the pits where all the chicken for the Red Rooster Days chicken feed is cooked. They then cheered on racers during the 1 and 5 mile races, attended the classic car show, and rounded out the day by eating and serving at the largest chicken BBQ in the state.

It was a full weekend of some of the traditions that make Red Rooster Days so special, and the perfect way for our new ambassadors to begin their year representing the community they call home. We’re so excited for all the memories, friendships, and adventures still to come for these two! ✨

One. More. Sleep. 🥹🌟

We couldn’t let Coronation Weekend begin without celebrating the incredible young women who have represented our community throughout the past year — our 2025–2026 Dassel Ambassadors, Julia Bakke and Ella Johnson.

Over the past year, these ladies have worn their crowns and sashes with pride while representing Dassel near and far. From parades and community events to countless laughs, memories, and miles traveled together, they have embraced every opportunity that came their way.

Tomorrow night, we’ll have the opportunity to celebrate their year, hear them reflect on the memories they’ve made, and thank them for the time, energy, and heart they have poured into representing our community. While their year as reigning ambassadors may be coming to an end, the friendships and memories made along the way certainly won’t.

To Julia — your kind and gentle heart has been such a gift to this program. You lead with a quiet strength and genuine care for the people around you, and we have loved watching you grow throughout your year as an Ambassador. As you continue your education at Ridgewater College and pursue a career in photography, we know you’ll continue bringing that same thoughtfulness and creativity wherever life takes you. 📷

To Ella — your humor and encouraging spirit have brought so much joy to this year. You have a way of making those around you laugh while also being someone they can count on for support. As you begin your next adventure at the College of Saint Benedict to pursue nursing, we know your ability to care for and encourage others will serve you well. 🩺

So of course, we had to make a menu for it.

And we’re giving a little back while we’re at it. $1 from every regular-priced drink purchased from this menu will be donated to the Dassel Ambassadors program.

It’s officially CORONATION WEEK, and we have one final candidate for you to meet! 🌸

Rounding out our 2026 candidate group is Candidate #5 — Megan Hopkins!

Megan is the daughter of Brian and Angela Hopkins. She is involved in DECA, FFA, and National Honor Society.

When Red Rooster Days weekend arrives, Megan especially looks forward to the parade — a tradition that brings so many familiar faces together year after year!

Togetherness is also part of what Megan believes makes Dassel so special. She appreciates how close and organized our community is and the way people work together to make things happen.

And just like that, you’ve officially met all five of our 2026 Dassel Ambassador candidates! 💐 After weeks of introductions, the countdown is nearly over, and we can’t wait for you to see these five wonderful young women take the stage this Saturday!
