This week Mrs. Gladsjo’s Baking & Pastry students took their skills beyond the classroom and into the community by volunteering at the Darrington Food Bank during distribution. This hands on experience gave students a meaningful look into the food service and nonprofit sectors, highlighting the many career pathways connected to culinary arts; from production and logistics to community outreach.

Students demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and professionalism as they helped serve local families, reinforcing the importance of giving back and supporting those in need. Experiences like this not only build real-world skills but also shape compassionate, community-minded leaders.

We’re proud of the way our students represented our program today. Showing that strong CTE programs don’t just prepare students for careers, they prepare them to make a difference.
