Kingdom Community Services Preparing Today's Youth to be Tomorrow's Leaders

08/11/2026

Generation Next Teen Center is a place for our teens to connect, eat, laugh, and simply enjoy being young!

We’re creating a safe space where teens can build friendships, be themselves, and grow with positive mentors and peers around them.

This is Generation Next!

Shout Out to Jamie Mills House

We want to take a moment to show some love and appreciation to Jamie for truly holding it down at KCS! As the number of youth we serve continues to grow, so does the work—and Jamie continues to show up, serve, help wherever needed, and help us keep things moving.

Jamie, we appreciate your heart for our youth and your willingness to help push and carry the ministry and mission of Kingdom Community Services. It takes people who genuinely care, who are willing to put their hands to the work, and who understand that what we do is bigger than us.

Thank you for helping us pour into the next generation. Your service does not go unnoticed!

We appreciate you, Jamie! 💚

The first two days of afterschool are in the books, and we're already getting back into the swing of things!

From homework and activities to laughter, games, and meeting new friends, it's been exciting watching our students settle in and begin building friendships that we hope will last all year long.

We're looking forward to an incredible year of learning, growing, and making memories together. Here's to a great school year!

Our students had one request to end the summer... a skate party! 🛼 And we were happy to make it happen.

Thank you to every family who trusted us with your children this summer. It has been a joy watching them learn, grow, laugh, and create memories together.

As a new school year begins, we pray every student is blessed with wisdom, favor, confidence, and success. May they excel academically, socially, and in every area of life.

See you next summer!

Leadership isn't just taught—it's modeled.

We're grateful for youth pastors, staff, and mentors who know how to have fun, build relationships, and lead by example. Every laugh, every game, and every conversation is an opportunity to pour into the next generation.

Healthy adults help cultivate healthy kids, and we're honored to invest in both.

Today is Open House, and we are excited to welcome both new and returning families as we prepare for an amazing 2026–2027 school year!

Today is also our final day for registration. We have only a few spaces remaining, and once those spots are filled, enrollment will close.

If you've been planning to enroll your child, today is the day! We look forward to partnering with you and serving your family throughout this school year.

Hey Parents if you look closely you’ll find some of our Kingdom
Kidz enjoying this event. KCS is grateful for the Darlington Library; our campers enjoyed an adventure every Tuesday morning this summer and participated in the summer reading in which they won several prizes for reading 30 minutes daily.

Correction is LOVE

Correction is LOVE

One of the biggest problems in modern parenting is that many associate accountability with cruelty.

Yes sometimes a child is genuinely struggling and needs support.
Sometimes they are hurting and need understanding.
Sometimes they absolutely are the victim.

But sometimes they broke the rule.
Sometimes they ignored repeated warnings.
Sometimes the consequence was fair.
Sometimes they made a bad choice.

And if every uncomfortable moment is treated like injustice, children never learn how to take responsibility for their actions.

Protecting children from every consequence might feel supportive in the moment.
But long term, it can leave them unprepared for the real world.

Growth usually comes with discomfort.
Maturity comes from learning to reflect, adapt, apologize, and do better next time.

Supporting your child does not mean defending every decision they make.

Sometimes the most important lesson a child can learn is accountability.

Correction isn't rejection—it's protection. When we lovingly correct our children, we are showing them the exact same kind of grace our Heavenly Father shows us. Hebrews 12:6 says, "because the Lord disciplines the one he loves..." Let's parent from a place of love, guiding our little ones toward wisdom and character.
