May is a busy time for the Foundation. We held our last Mighty Acorns meeting at Lace School. Approximately 25 3rd and 4th graders spent the year with The Conservation Foundation and us learning all about the outdoors, nature and the environment. Looking forward to a new group of learners in September.

Thank you to all the young authors who submitted poems or short stories for our 20th year of the Write-On competition held in partnership with Indian Prairie Public Library. Author Michael Leali gave a talk about his books and his life, and then the winners were announced. All winners received an autographed book from the author, as well as one on one with him during the pizza party. So many great questions were asked by these young budding authors.
