This Hispanic Heritage Month, we celebrate the voices, traditions, and contributions that enrich Fairfield County and the work we do at P2P.

Did you know? In Fairfield County, 23% of Latino adults reported experiencing food insecurity, compared with 7% of white and Asian adults. DataHaven also found that 20% of Latino residents lived below the poverty level, compared with 5% of white residents.

These disparities point to real needs among our neighbors. At P2P, we work to connect individuals and families with nutritious food and support. We’re grateful for the Hispanic and Latino neighbors, volunteers, donors, and partners who help our community thrive. 💛

🛒 Shop, donate, or volunteer at Palmer’s tomorrow—and help fill P2P’s food pantries!

Join us at Palmer’s Market in Darien on Sunday, October 4, from 12–4 p.m. Add a few extra pantry staples to your grocery cart and donate them to help local families put meals on the table.

Most-needed items include hearty soups, canned tuna and chicken, pasta and sauce, peanut butter and jelly, cereal, rice, canned fruits and vegetables, and shelf-stable milk.

Person to Person distributed 2.4 million meals last year, a 65% increase in need from five years ago. And the need is growing with inflation, SNAP benefit cuts, and the anticipated increase in gas and home heating costs this winter. We need and appreciate your support!
