Small but mighty!

We’re excited to announce our first collab of the season!
Good Worx X Northwind Perennial Farm

Our pop-up garden starts stand features some of our heirloom veggie starts we feature in all of our community growing spaces-many Ark of Taste standouts- Aunt Molly’s Ground Cherries, Fish Peppers and Cherokee Purple Tomatoes

Northwind is supporting our work to provide garden fresh vegetables, fruits and herbs to local food pantries in Walworth County, WI this summer- we’ll be starting with and
Elkhorn Food Pantry.

Consider sharing your excess garden yields with your local food pantry because everyone deserves access to garden fresh food choices!

Coming in at 2L this mighty little can from our favorite Wisco Garden Shop is keeping up with the nearly 1,500 Veggie and flower starts we felt were necessary for this exciting season! We’ve got new gardens and new friends lined up for the season and are looking forward to seeing where this all leads. In the midst of it all one thing hasn’t changed and that’s our commitment to see that every installation, wherever that may be, continues to provide garden fresh herbs and vegetables for many of our at-risk neighbors throughout the season! Stay tuned friends-

In the march up to Earth Day tomorrow we wanted to put this out into our little gardening universe. You can thank us later.

You've heard the old adage - "You are what you eat!"

We'd argue, "You are what THEY eat!"

We celebrated World Food Day with another pop-up “Clip ‘n Go” Herb offering at our local food pantry.
We were able to share our final tomatoes and hot peppers along with lots of fresh herbs for our at-risk neighbors. Shoutout to Club and Cathy Streett for sharing final shares from and their vegetable garden. We were happy to pass along their final harvests as part of today’s offerings!
Everyone deserves access to fresh healthy food choices!

We take this work very seriously -

Today we met up with Jon after six months of distancing and this pandemic have redefined everything

What it didn’t redefine

Connections made in recent years with the work we’re doing to bring access to healthy fresh foods to ALL our neighbors!

Jon fell in love with our Mexican Gherkins last season-it’s the only reason we planted them again this season.

He’s also extremely enthusiastic about extremely HOT peppers and we secured a few of our Dragon Breath peppers for this special occasion.

Soft launching our Clip ‘N Go Herb Patch seemed the perfect setting to reconnect with Jon and our friends at Our Lady of Peace

It was a BIG day!
As in all 3.2 lbs of this beauty Upstate Oxheart Tomato

I started this seed on February 23 - pre-pandemic and shared the start with one of our home growers. Six months later we masked up to harvest this together. Shared with our newest family since her summer favorite is tomato sandwiches!
