We had a beautiful morning for our spring migration field trip at Harris Neck NWR on Saturday! A pretty male Painted Bunting was spotted right away, along with several Yellow-throated Warblers. At Blue Bill Pond there were Roseate Spoonbills feeding and resting, along with Egrets, Herons, Ibis, and other waders. The walk ended at Woody Pond, where the Wood Storks were building nests and raising young. A special thank you to Dan Watson, GA DNR, for sharing his passion and knowledge of birds with us.

Another successful Spring Native Plant Sale in the books! Thank you to our CWS board members, volunteers, plant vendors (All the Buzz, Florabundance Gardens, Nassau for Nature, & Georgia Native Plant Society - Coastal Plain Chapter), UGA Extension, Georgia Native Plant Society - Maritime Chapter, & Ashantilly Center, for helping make this event possible. We love seeing everyone come out and support the native plant movement. We all need to do our part to support pollinators, birds, and other wildlife in our yards! What plants did you get at the sale?
