Attention, residents! A large section of Long Neck Point Road is currently closed due to a weather related incident involving overhead power lines. Please abide by the caution tape and barricades in place for your safety.

Mother Nature isn’t going to disrupt the celebration - the Memorial Day Parade will take place rain or shine tomorrow! Step off from Old Kings Market at 10:00 am. 🇺🇸🇺🇸 We will update you in the morning about the ceremony. We still hope to have it outdoors at Spring Grove Cemetery but if the weather is too uncooperative it will be held in the Library.

The Town of Darien's Monuments and Ceremonies Commission will be hosting the traditional Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 25th at 10:00 a.m.

The Parade will start from Old King’s Market (formerly Good Wives Shopping Center), marching up the Post Road to Spring Grove Veterans Cemetery.

Our Commemoration Ceremony honoring those who lost their lives while serving in the Armed Forces will take place in Spring Grove Veterans Cemetery following the parade.

Temporary Road closures will begin at 8:00 a.m. Motorists are encouraged to avoid the downtown area.

This morning, NFD marine units trained on patient packaging and transferring patients from boat to boat during our Sunday drill.
Pictured here is Sealegs, an 18-ft amphibious vessel capable of operating on both land and water. It allows us to safely reach patients in areas that most boats cannot access.
