Pear Tree Plunge Annual Pear Tree Plunge5k Run and Plunge Usher in the new year with a fun 5k run around Long Neck Point followed by a quick plunge in Long Island Sound.

A great way to cure you hangover, enjoy old man winter's icy embrace, and give a little to those in need. We simply ask that all participants bring small donations of spare clothing, non-perishable food items and/or cash to jump start a brand new year for others while smoothing our own kharmic wrinkles. All to benefit Person-to-Person, a local charity that provides for local families.

The 7th annual running of the Pear Tree Plunge is on! Runners will take mark this Sunday, January 1st @ high-noon. Two loops around Pear Tree Point, plus the optional, yet encouraged plunge into the brisk waters of Long Island Sound. Please remember to bring a few items of non-perishable food for the Person-to-Person. No better way to usher in 2017!

The 6th Annual Pear Tree Plunge is ON! 5k run, jog or walk followed by OPTIONAL plunge in Long Island Sound (brrr). Hope to see you @ 12pm on New Years Day at Pear Tree Point Beach.

Please bring a few items of non-perishable food to help replenish Person-to-Person's food pantry after the busy holiday season.
