Islamic Quiz & Community Da’wah in Sierra Leone 🌙

Welcome back to Hope for Sierra Leone.

In this special edition, we are putting faith into action. We approached members of our community across Sierra Leone and invited them to recite specific verses from the Qur’an. Their sincerity, confidence, and love for the words of Allah were truly inspiring.

This experience reminds us that faith is not defined by one’s situation. It lives in the heart. No matter the circumstances, the light of the Qur’an continues to shine.

Through this initiative, we aim to uplift our brothers and sisters — offering not only encouragement and spiritual engagement, but also practical support. One meal, one prayer, one act of kindness at a time.

💔 OUR YOUTHS DESERVE BETTER 🇸🇱 💔

Every day in Sierra Leone, young men and women wake up before sunrise to hustle — selling water, CDs, fruits, clothes, anything — just to survive.
You’ll see our sisters under the scorching sun with babies on their backs, our brothers pushing wheelbarrows through traffic, and so many bright, talented youths sitting hopelessly by the roadside because there are no jobs.

We are not lazy. We are trying. We are fighting to live with dignity.
But how long can we keep surviving instead of living?

To our government — please open your eyes. The street is full of dreams dying slowly. We need opportunities, we need empowerment, not empty promises.
Give the youths a reason to believe again.
Give the street hustler a path to grow.
Give the young woman selling oranges hope for a better tomorrow.

The time has come for our government to take strong and urgent action to end the use and spread of Kush in Sierra Leone. This deadly drug is destroying our future — it’s killing our brothers, our sons, and our friends every single day.

Too many young people have lost their minds, their health, and their lives. Families are suffering, communities are breaking apart, and our nation’s future is fading before our eyes.

We are pleading with the Government of Sierra Leone, the Police, and every stakeholder — please, take this seriously. Strengthen laws, increase awareness, provide rehabilitation, and give our youth a way out.

We can’t sit and watch another generation die. 💔
