Mobile Area Councils first family campout of the new scout year will be held on the “Grounds” of the battleship Oct 2-3. Sleep under the stars by one of Alabamas most visited tourist attractions! Food trucks Friday, breakfast provided Saturday morning. Crafts, BB ,ARCHERY, and SLINGSHOT and of course patches! Sign up earn requirements! If you need a tent Mary Phillips with council has about 5-6 that will be provided already set up for your convenience with a cot! Bring sleeping bags and you’re set ! Register today! USS ALABAMA BATTLESHIP SLEEPOVER**
The pack will sleep inside the Battleship this Friday! Arrive by 6 pm at the entrance to ship. Let cubmaster know if you will be late. We will enter after everyone is accounted for, have hold harmless forms turned in and everyone has a wristband. 26 still need to fill out forms! If you cannot make it please let me know as the waiting list is long to attend! If you are not staying over please be off ship by 8 pm let guard know you are leaving! Gates lock at 8! Pizza Hut will deliver 40 pizzas by 6:45 pm in the captains quarters. Drinks in cooler. We will take our gear to our sleeping quarters first then meet at cannons to have group picture made, then have dinner! Need to be quick or food will get cold! Arrive in class As/ or Bs if you dont have uniform yet. Class B order should be available for pickup Friday; see Cubmasters red avalanche for yours before boarding. Whatever you bring, you must be able to carry it down straight stairs. Pillow, sheets, blanket or sleeping bag, toiletries, pajamas, and showers available so bring towels, soap whatever you will need; closed toed shoes must be worn at all times. Buddy system at all times. Parents know where your scout is at all times! Lights out at 10 not strictly enforced just so you know/ awake at 6:30-6:40 pack up all gear take to gangway to be off ship by 8am. Scouts will remove all trash off ship before 8am. Check sleeping area for any leftover items bring up with you even if not yours. You DO NOT have to leave park! Your gear just has to be off ship before 8am when the ship is open to public. Keep wristbands on you may enter ship, USS DRUM SUBMARINE, Aviation museum and gift shop all day long. Most wake and leave and go have breakfast. Its up to you. You do not have to report your whereabouts to cubmaster or leaders. If you want to leave park drive up close to gate it will open to let you out. Any questions please call den leaders or cubmaster. Know phone numbers to leaders and know you are with pack 321 out of Daphne! There will be a florida pack 321 sleeping over as well. Make memories and have fun, and pack patience! The pack is back and we are ready for adventures! Dens met today and they all earned their Bobcat; scouts made lion and wolf masks, tigers worked on their den flag, and AOL voted on patrol names and had scoutmasters from 82G and 82B invite them over for a scout troop meeting and invited Webelos also to attend Camporee in Maubila coming up. We learned flag folding, the flag ceremony, and my Bears were holed up in their dens working on something but I was too busy to check! What a great start to an exciting new year in scouting!
