We support the community, including local youth and other organizations along the Eastern Shore. We recognize outstanding law enforcement, other first responders and high school students in the Daphne and Spanish Fort area. We work in conjunction with others to eradicate polio in the world and participate with international projects to provide clean water to villages in Guatemala and Honduras.

We’ve had a few busy weeks with Daphne / Spanish Fort Rotary! We had a very successful poinsettia sale fundraiser to support our Children’s Christmas party. Thank to you everyone who supported this always wonderful cause! A special thanks to Country Wagon in Spanish Fort for providing the most beautiful plants. The kids were beaming with joy around the gifts and special visit from Santa and his elf! So much fun!!

It’s that time of year!!! We are gearing up for our Annual Poinsettia Fundraiser supporting Baldwin County kiddos with Christmas cheer.

If your office or home needs some pop of color this holiday season, or the plants are such a great gift to give or receive, please consider purchasing from Daphne Spanish Fort Rotary Club to help give the kids the best Christmas event yet!

Each year, the kids beam with the gifts, food and fellowship (and we can’t forget the visit from Santa himself! 🎅🏼) and it is so heartwarming to see the community provide. ❤️

We did our part as Rotarians this week by partnering with LifeSouth to donate blood 🩸 FUN FACT: Did you know one pint of blood can save up to 3 lives??? Also, it can offer numerous health benefits for the donor. WIN WIN!

We were glad to be able to present a check to The Baldwin County Boys Ranch at our meeting today! Such a deserving organization helping youth during difficult times. Through our fundraisers for poinsettias sales, pickleball tournament, and Boston butt sales- we were able to donate $2500!

We are coming into October where Rotary members and their partners in service all around the world come together to recognize progress in the fight to end polio!

World Polio Day- October 24th, 2024.

Our Rotary club and district participates in a fundraiser collaborating with Dunkin Donuts to buy a box of donuts that look like the purple pinkies.

With every donation of $25, it is then matched 7.5x making the donation a total of $187.50 towards polio eradication.

With only 2 countries (Afghanistan & Pakistan) still having very minimal confirmed cases, we know our efforts will go the distance to end this disease WORLDWIDE!!! 💜💜💜💜

We had the pleasure of presenting our donation to a wonderful cause: KIDZ EATZ! They assist school counselors with providing needy children with food for the weekends that goes home with them in their backpack. Anne Davis is a retired teacher that started this charity with her husband, Mitch. Their hearts are so big for the local kids in our community that suffer with food insecurity in their homes.

You can volunteer to help this mission by checking out their page for packing dates! Also, they are run solely on donations, so if you feel so led to contribute, they have all of their info on their page.

We are blessed to have raised funds through our Pickleball tournament to donate $2,000!

This week was busy for our Daphne/Spanish Fort Rotary group!
We inducted a new member in our club, Chris Coulter! Welcome Chris! We are so happy to have you join.

Also, when we have a visiting Rotarian, it is tradition to exchange club flags. We have had Victor Rabelo visit our group from his home club in Brazil! It is cool to see the flags from different Rotary clubs from around the country and worldwide!

Our speakers this week were Baldwin County Emergency Management Agency. They were able to give us an informative presentation on preparedness for the ever-changing weather in our area as well as how they prepare for natural disasters or accidents as they unfold around the world. With Baldwin County growing faster than ever before, if you need a speaker for your HOA for people moving into Baldwin County from other places- be sure to reach out to them so everyone can be educated on what to expect living down here! Thank you Tom for coming out.
