Our sweet girl has been fighting RSV for 6 days now. She has had 102-104 fevers and has felt absolutely terrible. The Tylenol and Ibuprofen dance has not been able to get it below 101. Her cough is so bad, snot for days and zero appetite. Her little nose is as raw as can be.

This morning she woke up with a 99.9 temperature!!
Hopefully we are seeing the light! She is still snuggling and cozy with not much energy. But any improvement is welcome!

Prayers for her that she is past the worst part and her lungs stay healthy. Last month was her last antibiotic coverage for her lungs after treatment.

RSV is her first battle with her recovering immune system. She is still one tough cookie!

While waiting on her results from the swabs we did a CBC to rule out relapse.

Lord have mercy it was the longest 10 minutes of my life. Her counts were great. WBC was a little elevated BUT we assumed she was starting to battle something viral. Never been happier to hear positive for RSV.

Today is the day that Leukemia rocked our world!

Today is the day that Leukemia rocked our world!

Three years ago today, our world changed forever with hearing the words …”Your child has Leukemia, and she is High Risk.”

In one breath, life, as we knew it shattered. Time stood still from that day forward. We were trapped by the unknown.... praying for a miracle.

What followed was fear. Pain. Tears. Strength, we didn’t know existed. Nights begging God to carry her.

Days watching her endure procedures, medicines, and moments no child should ever experience.

But by the full, overwhelming grace of God…
SHE DID IT.

Today, when you look at Andie Kate, you don’t just see a child. You see a fighter. You see courage wrapped in sass and attitude. You see a little girl who has faced more than most adults’ will in a lifetime and still manages to sparkle. Still laughs.

These last three years have taught our family to cherish absolutely everything. The sweet moments, the painful ones, the quiet ones, and the ones we never thought we’d survive. They’ve shown us the power of prayer, the comfort of community, and the unbelievable kindness of people who wrapped us in love when we were breaking.

To everyone who supported us, prayed for us, checked on us, or simply held space for us, Thank you! You carried us more than you know.

Today is not a celebration of a diagnosis. It is a celebration of how far our girl has come…
Of her strength. Her light. Her fire.

Today is for the impact this journey carved into our hearts. For the passion it lit in us to help the families who will walk this road after us. Today is for remembering that we can do hard things… even the ones that seem impossible.

Here’s to our brave, beautiful, fierce girl.

Here’s to December 2,2022💛🎗️

🎗️ 🎗️ Today was Toy Drive Delivery Day!!! 🎗️ 🎗️

This Silly Room’s 2nd Annual Toy Drive for Childhood Cancer has officially come to a close ..AND…it was a huge success! We even had to rent a U-Haul this year because we collected double the amount of toys from last year! We had a few Azalea Trail Maids help us with the delivery! How amazing!!

It was the perfect reminder of how beautiful this journey can be, even in the midst of pain and heartbreak.

As we made the delivery today, I couldn’t help but reflect on the strength of our little warriors and the power of our community.

These children are incredibly brave. The fight is hard, but every toy, every smile, and every silly act of kindness reminds us that love, support, and friendship truly make all the difference.

The friendships we've made along the way are priceless, and the joy on their faces today as they stocked the toy closet for other children in this battle is something I’ll never forget.

A huge thank you to Warren’s Warriors for partnering with us this year, and to everyone who donated, volunteered, and spread the word.

Thank you to all the schools that joined us. You’ve all made an incredible impact, and your kindness has helped make this world a little brighter for those who need it most.

Next year, we plan to grow even bigger! Reach out if you want to join in!!!

A special thanks to Premier Pools and Spas – Baldwin County for your generous donation that helped us complete this amazing project.

Let’s continue to lift each other up, fight for these kids, and show up with love …today and always.

This Silly Room will continue to bring the joy, laughter, and silly to all those who follow.

Because on our watch… cancer doesn’t get to cancel childhood. 🎗️

Yesterday was sort day for the toy drive!! We are beyond proud of our friends, schools, and community for making this year such a successful toy drive for This Silly Room!

Last year we had a table full of boxes! This year we had to move it into our spare room!

We have more than doubled the amount of boxes stuffed full of toys this year!

This Silly Room was born in the trenches during the hardest, most heartbreaking days of our lives. It was created in a hospital room where time stood still, where fear was constant, and where the line between life and death felt impossibly thin.

We were told on the first day of treatment ..by a few nurses.. that some children walk through leukemia with fewer complications and some have so many issues. No cancer journey is ever easy, and every child’s battle is valid and painful. But some kids, like mine, seem to fight from every possible angle. Just when one battle ends, another begins. It’s relentless.

During those endless hours at the hospital, I poured my soul into what we could create. Something joyful in the middle of all this pain? What if we could bring light to the darkest places? I took a notebook full of notes and dreams.

To see others rally behind those ideas, to join in making a difference for the next child walking into that same hospital room it’s beyond words. It’s priceless. It’s healing.

To see her name, her legacy, attached to something that gives back during the worst moments… that’s everything. To see her use her pain and experience to make a difference for a stranger is beautiful.

It doesn’t erase the pain, but it transforms it. And that’s the power and heart of This Silly Room.

Our first Band-Aids from Buddies drive is complete!

It was so much fun!

We started this drive in hopes that we could stock our local clinic with the coolest band-aids on the block!

We wanted to make them FUN. Make them COLORFUL. Make them SILLY. But MOST of ALL make our local cancer kids SMILE!

All in hopes that each donation would cause excessive courage!

And guess what? We did it!

With just three donation locations, we collected an amazing 8,246 bandages!

You may have never thought something as “Silly” as a band-aid could bring so much joy. To a child going through treatment, the small things often mean the most.

Thank you to everyone who donated, shared, and supported this beautiful mission.

This is just the beginning.
