Happy World Wildlife Day! Alabama Wildlife Federation's mission is to promote the conservation of Alabama's wildlife. One of the best ways we do this is by educating students here at the DBCC all about the wildlife that can be throughout our state. Sullivan shows off just how we do this by giving us a quick lesson on our Eastern Indigo snake!

Come and see what wildlife you can find on our trails Monday through Saturday 9 AM to 4 PM. And keep watching our socials to get updates on when you can come see Flint and our other ambassador animals on display later this fall!

Meet the staff! Scott Bannon the Director of the AWF Delta & Bay Conservation Center. Scott handles the overall operation of the DBCC. He manages staff, works with our partners, and promotes the DBCC! Scott makes it a point to be involved in every aspect of DBCC: education, administration, and maintance. You can usually find Scott talking with guests about all the exciting things going on here at the DBCC!

Meet the team! Ashley Richardson is our Administrative Director. She organizes all our finances, handles all inquiries about the DBCC, and manages the gift shop. Ashley also coordinates all of our rentals!

“Alabama the Beautiful” is a direct testament to the farmers, fishermen, foresters, cattlemen, and so many others who work tirelessly to steward and preserve our great state's nature resources.

I’m truly honored to be named Alabama Wildlife Federation’s Legislative Conservationist of the Year. It’s an incredible privilege to fight for responsible conservation solutions that protect our God-given resources and support the Alabamians who tend to them each and every day.

And I’m so grateful my dad was there to accept this special honor on my behalf while I was in Washington!

We can't believe summer camp is over! We hope everyone had a great week back at school!
