Last month we had our end of the year banquet. Every single one of our swimmers grew so much, and I feel beyond blessed to have such a dedicated group of athletes and supportive parents.

A massive round of applause one more time for our award winners:
Rookies of the Year: Grayson Cleveland and Layla Hill
Rising Stars of the Year: Grant Hudson and Aurora Hightower

As well as our 8 & Under Small Team Boys State Champions – Brantley Drake, Grant Hudson, Lincoln Spicer, and Beau Woodworth.

If you missed the banquet; Coach Kendall has your trophies in her office .

Looking Ahead:
The break is officially over because we are ready to dive back in! Summer practices start next week on Tuesday, May 19th.

On Sunday, February 22nd . We took 11 swimmers to the Knox County YMCA for Jr. Districts, and 2 of those swimmers made district cuts and brought our total to 25 District qualifying athletes. We even had 1 make a state qualifying time!

This past weekend 24 of the 25 swimmers were able to participate in the 2026 Illini District Championship meet in Springfield. Friday night was time trials and I love this part of the meet weekend because it gives swimmers an extra chance to make district/state times . Guess what? We had swimmers do just that! We had 2 swimmers qualify in more events for Districts AND we had a state qualifying time in the 1650 with a time of 22 minutes and 22 seconds.

To say we are proud of every single kid that has swam this season is an understatement!

Next stop , State 💙🐬

Due to Coach Kendall’s work schedule at her other job we will not be having Friday practices moving forward . I apologize for any inconvenience.

There will be index cards of workouts set out for any swimmers that would still like to come in and swim during that time .
