At Stratford Tennis Club, we are proud to celebrate the incredible dedication of our senior players, women, and men tennis groups. 🎾❤️

Their commitment, energy, and passion for the game inspire us every day. Whether they’re competing on the court, enjoying friendly matches, or simply staying active and connected through tennis, they continue to show that age is just a number when it comes to living life to the fullest.

We are grateful for the positivity, sportsmanship, and sense of community they bring to our club. Thank you for your hard work, enthusiasm, and love for the game. We are honored to have you as part of the Stratford Tennis Club family and will always support and cheer you on.

Back by popular demand!

Our Saturday drop in doubles starts up again tomorrow, and it will be more fun then ever. So far we know at least 14 players are coming. It's free for members. Guests - we ask for a $10 donation. But, if you join our club later any guest fees you paid will be used to discount your membership.

Here are the details:
9am-11am - Just show up. You can get there a little early if you want to stretch...
The format is fast 4play. Up and down the river; all ages; all skills.
Everyone will be mixed up to make equal teams.

*Note: tomorrow we are mixing it up by playing 3 sets, then swapping partners.

What a way to wrap up our Spring Adult League Session! 🎾

After their final matches, one thing was clear: tennis is about so much more than the score. From friendly competition to friendships, this group shared their love for the game and the joy of getting to play together week after week.

Thank you to everyone who came out and made it special! 💚

At Stratford Tennis Club, even our used tennis balls are still making an impact.

Thanks to our members’ continued support of the STC Ball Recycling Program, we’ve been able to donate another large batch of retired tennis balls to local nursing homes and animal shelters throughout our community.

These balls are being used for hand-strength and mobility exercises for seniors, while shelter dogs are getting endless joy, playtime, and enrichment from them every day.

Thank you to everyone who continues to drop used balls in the collection bin in the clubhouse. It’s a small act that’s creating meaningful moments far beyond the tennis court.

This program was initiated by our member Deb DiNoto.

Please welcome our summer intern Chase Sneed!

Chase will focus on marketing the breadth of our STC programs, people, stories and history leading up to our 50th anniversary next year.

1. Tell us a little bit about yourself and your educational background

My name is Chase Snead and I am a recent graduate at Radford University with a degree in Communication and a concentration in Public Relations. In the coming months, I will be starting my Masters Degree in strategic communication, continuing my education at Radford University eventually moving up to be a Public Relations Professor.

2. What are you most excited about with the internship?

I am most excited to work with the community of Danville, growing my experience in communication while also getting to learn new things about tennis and the club itself.

3. What do you think is the coolest thing about Stratford Tennis Club so far?

The coolest thing about Stratford so far is the welcoming atmosphere that was presented to me the moment I met the staff. Having a great support system and a great team is definitely the coolest!
