Melanie White and Debbie Baker dedicated over 20 years of service to HKUW and our communities—whether through Day of Caring, serving as campaign coordinators, volunteering on committees, and so much more. Their tireless efforts to bring hundreds of people together for a common good are now memorialized in the White & Baker Award.
The recipient of this award is no less remarkable. This individual brings boundless energy, a willingness to serve, and embodies the very best of a servant’s heart.
This year’s White & Baker Award goes to Amanda Coffey.
Amanda is the epitome of servant leadership. She works with multiple organizations to strengthen the communities she serves, including the Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce, Relay for Life Lincoln County, and Heart of Kentucky United Way. In these roles, she has organized fundraisers, directed parades, and even served breakfast for HKUW’s Day of Caring.
And if that wasn’t enough, she has personally moved hundreds—HUNDREDS!—of kayaks in and out of Cedar Creek Lake during YakCoe.
Through all of this, Amanda demonstrates a willing heart and a steadfast belief that our communities only thrive when we actively work to improve them.
