After alcohol, cannabis is the substance most often associated with impaired driving.

Despite this, 1 in 8 high school drivers smoke cannabis before driving. This is a high hazard for road safety.

Join us for the DEA National Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, October 24 at 10am! We will be stationed at Sam's Club and Inman Pharmacy in Danville, Tractor Supply in Blairs, and the Olde Dominion Ag Complex in Chatham. Drop off your or your pets' prescription drugs and keep our community safe from accidental drug intake!

Also, you can receive overdose response training at each location and free Narcan. It only takes 10 minutes! Hope to see you on October 24!

National Night Out is right around the corner. This event is FREE FOR ALL! Come out Thursday, Oct. 15, from 3-7 p.m. The annual kickoff will be held at Schoolfield Village (917 West Main Street) and will be followed by White Rock Park, Grove Park, and Westmoreland Park.

This is a great opportunity to learn about community resources; meet and greet with officers, city leaders, and school staff; and so much more. There's a little something for everyone.
