SHOUTING THIS FROM THE ROOFTOPS!

Thank you to all of the hunters who hunted for the hungry! Today, we picked up 737 pounds of fresh ground venison from Showalter's Meat Processing and we thank them for getting the meat ready for us. Thank you as well to Hunters for the Hungry who covered the cost for the processing.

This donation will feed some of the 1700 families we will serve in the next month. If you want to help, we would love to have boxes of skillet dinner mixes (think Hamburger Helper) to give along with the meat. When paired together, it makes a meal for an entire family.

There is still more hunting season left. Gun season opens this weekend. If you know a hunter who might like to help, here is the information to donate:

Calling all hunters! We want your extra deer! If you have already taken care of your family and you still have tags to fill, we are glad to take the gift of fresh meat to bless our families in need. Kentucky Hunters for the Hungry will take care of the cost of processing if you take your deer to an approved processor. We will take care of picking up the meat once processing is complete.

You MUST tell the processor that the deer is being donated through Hunters for the Hungry and that you want it to go to God's Food Pantry in Somerset.

I challenge you to go to Kroger buy a couple turkeys or more if you can and get them to both pantries this week! They are on sale at Kroger right now for 49 cents a pound you can get one under $15! Danville pantry needs 50 or more! No one has stepped up yet!

I want to thank the ones of you that have reached out wanting to help! There are so many things going on because there's so much that needs to be done! We're in the process of making "WE CARE" daily essentials bags for adults! I know Kisha Conder is making "BIRTHDAY CAKE" kits. The pantry needs at LEAST 50 turkeys! And we can't forget the KIDS! Who has some ideas about what we could do for them♥️ Most importantly we must raise awareness! There are so many people that don't even know there is a food pantry in Danville!
