​Please mark your calendars for our very first rehearsal:
​What: First Read-Through & Parent Meeting
​When: Thursday, May 28th from 6:00 PM-9:00 PM
​Where: Danville High School, Mr. Richey’s Room (Room 300)
​Parents & Guardians:
​We will hold a brief 30-minute parent meeting right at the beginning.
​Out-of-town families: We completely understand if parents from out of town cannot make it in person! We will send all necessary information and signature packets home with the students.

​We'll see you all on May 28th to kick off a bloody good summer! 🖤

We are thrilled to announce the incredible cast for our 2026 Summer Kids Production of The SpongeBob Musical: Youth Edition! We were blown away by the talent that swam through our doors, and we can’t wait to bring the magic of Bikini Bottom to the stage.

Important Information for Cast & Families
Parent Meeting & First Read-Through Date: Sunday, May 24th
Parent Meeting: 5:30 PM
Read-Through: 6:00 PM (until finished)

Please be on the lookout for an email from our Producer, Cassidy Helferich, in the next couple of days. This will contain essential information for our production!

DLO Musical Theatre is looking for the next residents of Bikini Bottom! We are thrilled to announce auditions for our 2026 Summer Children’s Production of The SpongeBob Musical: Youth Edition! Whether you’re a seasoned performer or this is your very first time on stage, we want to see YOU there. No experience is required!

📅 Audition Details
WHO: Kids who have completed Grades 2-8.
WHEN: Saturday, May 9, 2026
10:00 AM – 12:00 PM | 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
WHERE: DLO’s Backstage in downtown Danville (141 N. Walnut St.)

🎤 How to Prepare
- Pick a Song: Choose about 40-60 seconds of any song that demonstrates your vocal ability (it doesn't have to be from SpongeBob!).
- Bring Your Music: You can also bring a karaoke track on a phone or iPad to play during your audition.
- Acting: You will be asked to read scenes (sides) from the script.
* Pro Tip: You can preview these sides at the Danville Public Library starting Saturday, May 2nd, or review them at DLO before you head upstairs!
- No Dancing: There will be NO dance audition for this production.

📝 What to Bring & Remember
Conflicts: Please bring a list of any schedule conflicts between May 17 and July 19, 2026.
Arrival: Please arrive about 15 minutes early to fill out your audition form in person before heading upstairs.
