What a treat for our puppy club (along with the Walnut Creek puppy club) to be able to visit the Xenophon Therapeutic Riding School in Orinda this past weekend. It was an excellent outing for our dogs, and our puppy raisers thoroughly enjoyed the experience as well.
We truly appreciated the time and effort that our club member, Annette, put into setting up the obstacle course; the sensory trails and the variety of surfaces provided wonderful learning opportunities for our puppies, helping them build confidence while experiencing new environments. For many of our dogs, this was their very first time seeing a horse—let alone interacting with one up close and in person—making it an invaluable socialization experience. And, of course, everyone loved seeing “Gogo” in the round pen!
