What is your vision? What do you see for your life or business that hasn't happened yet? At our monthly networking meeting yesterday, HCPW Vice President Jill Hunter (Chief Marketing Officer of SunRift Capital Partners) shared "From Vision to Victory: Turning Big Ideas into Achievable Goals.”

We were inspired as Jill shared practical ways to define your vision, overcome the obstacles that keep you stuck, and turn your ideas into measurable goals. She encouraged us to give ourselves permission to dream big--"Don't shrink your dreams. Enlarge your faith." đź’«

We are thrilled to spotlight Kris Holland, Executive Director of the Avon Education Foundation. Kris enjoys supporting educators, students, and the community in a meaningful way.

What do you do in your role & what do you like best about it?
As the Executive Director of the Avon Education Foundation, I work to support creativity, innovation, and excellence in Avon community schools. Our organization offers microgrants for educators, free classroom school supplies for teachers, and a backpack giveaway for students along with supporting programming across the Avon Community School Corporation. I love what I do because it allows me to support our community every day in meaningful ways. Our local educators are incredible, and I love being able to help them inspire the next generation of Avon residents.

Tell us about your career path.
I have been working in the nonprofit sector since 2008, beginning at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art. I have worked in the arts, both at the Museum and at the Louisiana Film Prize, as well as in higher education at Centenary College of Louisiana, my alma mater. Most recently, I worked at IndyHumane as the Manager of Grants and Signature Initiatives where I was responsible for all grant writing as well as planning all large scale fundraising events.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I am a voracious reader and often have multiple books in progress at once. I enjoy visiting our local art museums and galleries and attending live performances at venues like Hendricks Live. I'm also a dedicated home chef.

What do you enjoy most about being a member of HCPW?
I enjoy the monthly opportunities to meet other women who excel in their professions. It's so valuable to get together and hear what everyone has accomplished.

What do you love most about living and/or working in Hendricks County?
As a fairly recent transplant to Hendricks County from Austin, TX, I have really appreciated the small town atmosphere. There are so many things to enjoy about our community, and I have loved getting to know my way around. I also appreciate the proximity to Indianapolis, where I'm able to access "big city" amenities like professional sporting events and museums.

What inspires you?
I am inspired every day by the teachers and students I work with. Seeing the creativity our educators bring to their classrooms is amazing, and I truly appreciate the opportunity to support them.

We are thrilled to spotlight Frances Mock, Director of Community Relations at Hendricks County Community Foundation. Frances’ heart for service and dedication to strengthening Hendricks County make her an inspiring leader in one of our community’s most impactful organizations.

What do you do in your role & what do you like best about it?
My job is to share HCCF's story with the community and encourage them to join us in making Hendricks County a better place. The best part of my job is engaging with generous people who love this community and want to leave a legacy for good right here where they live.

Tell us about your career path.
I'm a CPA and started my career in auditing and tax. I joined HCCF in 2012 and have been here 14 years. I love what HCCF does and the impact it makes in this county!

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I ran a piano studio out of my home for many years and love music! I am on the worship team at West Bridge Church in Danville. My husband and I raised two sets of twins so generally don't have a lot of spare time! Ha!

What do you enjoy most about being a member of HCPW?
I love meeting new women in the community and hearing their stories.

What do you love most about living and/or working in Hendricks County?
I love that I feel safe; I love the schools and amazing teachers that we have. I love the people here. I am so thankful to the Lord that this is where we raised our kids.

What inspires you?
Following Christ and sharing His love and light to those around me.

Sometimes it can be hard to be ourselves and not compartmentalize our interests or even put up a facade, but what happens when we realize that being ourselves can be our greatest strength? đź’Şđź’«

We were inspired at yesterday's monthly networking luncheon as Carrie Schroeder shared, "Don't Plan Your Way out of a Miraculous Life," an honest look at what it means to bet on yourself, let go of the script, and discover what's possible when the unexpected becomes the invitation.

Join us for the Hendricks County Professional Women's monthly networking luncheon on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. at the Avon American Legion Post.
We are excited to welcome guest speaker Carrie Schroeder, Founder of CS Consulting, Co-Founder of The B2B Builder, and Principal at Polaris Advisors.
Carrie spent 25+ years writing a script for success - until the day it disappeared, and the most surprising thing wasn't the fear. It was the relief. Carrie will be sharing Don't Plan Your Way Out of a Miraculous Life - an honest look at what it means to bet on yourself, let go of the script, and discover what's possible when the unexpected becomes the invitation.
A lunch menu is available from the Legion (CASH ONLY-ATM available).
