We’re making great progress on Boyle County Habitat for Humanity’s 49th home! 🏡

The roof is now complete, including installation of the shingles, and the exterior is really starting to take shape. Our volunteer construction crews are hard at work on the siding and other exterior finishes.

Inside the home, the plumbers, electricians, and HVAC technicians are all nearing completion of their respective work. It’s exciting to see so many pieces coming together as we move closer to the finish line!

The project is progressing well, and we’re looking forward to the day later this year when we can welcome the Habitat family into their new home.

A huge thank-you to all of our volunteers, donors, contractors, and community partners who are helping make this home possible. Every hammer, nail, hour, and donation brings us one step closer to a new home and a brighter future for a local family🫶🏼

We’re excited to share the progress being made on this year’s Habitat home build! Thanks to the hard work of our volunteers, community partners, and homeowner, we’ve already reached several major milestones.

Excavation has been completed, the footers have been formed and poured, and gravel has been spread throughout the crawl space. The ICF blocks were ordered and delivered right on schedule, and Bluegrass ICF’s spent time on site helping install, seal, and brace the forms. This was a new process for us this year, and it worked out great. We were also able to secure both the pump truck and concrete needed to fill the walls, and everything went smoothly without incident. Since then, the site has been cleaned and organized, the stem wall has been completed, and framing is now officially underway.
It’s exciting to see the house beginning to take shape!

We’re grateful to everyone who continues to support Boyle County Habitat for Humanity and help make affordable homeownership possible in our community🙌🏼

🔍Consider Habitat🔍

Are you, your organization, or your church looking for a meaningful way to serve the local community?
Consider Boyle County Habitat for Humanity.

You may be familiar with Habitat for Humanity International, but did you know we have a local affiliate right here in Boyle County? Since 1990, Boyle County Habitat for Humanity has been building safe, affordable homes for families in Danville, Perryville, Junction City, and throughout the county.

We are a 100% all-volunteer organization, led by a volunteer Board of Directors. Over the past 35 years, we have built 48 homes and are now beginning work on our 49th home in Danville.

Affordable housing is a growing need in Boyle County. Homeownership provides stability for children and families, builds generational equity, and strengthens neighborhoods and the local economy.

To be considered for a Habitat home, applicants must fall within the Very Low to Low income limits for Boyle County, as defined by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. In addition, their current housing situation must be substandard, as determined through home visits and personal interviews.

We build homes at cost using volunteer labor, provide 20-year, 0% interest mortgages, partner with families who invest sweat equity, and recycle mortgage payments to help fund future homes.

Providing homes under this model is not self-sustaining. It is the generosity and support of our local community that makes our work possible.

There are many ways to get involved at the level of support that fits your budget. You can:
• Sponsor an entire home build
• Join us as a funding partner
• Make a financial contribution of any amount

Every financial contribution directly supports home construction in Boyle County.

One of the most rewarding aspects of supporting Habitat is seeing your impact firsthand. You can drive by the build site and watch the progress unfold, and at the end of the project, join us for the home dedication to meet the family and volunteers who made it all possible, or take a tour of the new home

We know there are many opportunities in our community for charitable giving, and we hope you will consider Boyle County Habitat for Humanity.

Together, we can continue building homes, communities, and hope in Boyle County.
