Want to earn some service hours?!?! BCHS HOSA is attending the Spooktacular Trick or Treat that Ephraim McDowell is hosting. There is an interest sheet listed on Google classroom. You must sign up by tomorrow! The event is Oct 11, from 3-6pm. Once we see how many people are interested we can determine the length of shifts. We would love to have as many people as possible earn hours! Also, if you want to help but can’t make the event if you donate 2 bags of gluten free candy, you will get a service hour. (Limit 2 bag/1 hour). Drop off in Mrs Fogle’s room (208) by tomorrow at 12:30pm.

Students attending the event will dress as a character from Toy Story and pass out fidgets and candy to attendees. It should be a fun time for all!

Thanks!

President-Lia DaCosta and Vice President- Macie Broadwater attended the Washington Leadership Academy HOSA Conference this past weekend. It was so fun and full of lots of great leadership skills that they are ready to bring back to Boyle County, and implement in our chapter and our community! They can’t wait to tell the members all about what they learned, how to help improve our local organization, and lead with a fresh set of new ideas!

A special thank you to Ephraim McDowell, Farmers National Bank of Danville, and Drs. Turpin & Guerrant for helping us to make this unbelievable experience possible.

For the next 4 days we will share our highlights from our conference. Here is day one!

September is Su***de Prevention Month. Remember your mental health is important. You are loved. You are cared about. #988 ;Stay. There is help out there. Please don’t think that, “the end is your only option.” It’s not. Stay; tomorrow needs you!

🌀 September is Su***de Prevention Month 🌀
This is your reminder: your story isn’t over.
Even on the days when it feels impossible to believe—
the world is better with you in it.

You are not a burden.
You are not alone.
You are not invisible.

💙 It’s okay if things feel heavy right now.
💙 It’s okay if your version of “getting through the day” looks different than anyone else’s.
What matters is that you’re still here—still fighting in ways most people will never see.
And that takes a rare kind of strength.

🌟 Please remember:
The darkest moments don’t last forever.
You are worthy of love.
You are worthy of rest.
You are worthy of hope.
You are worthy of brighter days ahead.

If you’re struggling, reach out.
Someone cares more than you know.
Someone is listening.
Someone is rooting for you.

Your story matters. You matter. Always.

From Mrs. Fogle: “As the HOSA advisor I am so thankful for the staff and other students who are helping to check on our officers and members. I am even prouder seeing members check in on other students, showing their compassion and caring for others. In the sadness, seeing love in its purest form is comforting. Prayers for all of Boyle district. Brynn was so very special and was a blessing to us. May we continue to honor her by serving and loving as she did.

Also, if any member needs or knows of another student needing resources or support through the coming days, please reach out to me. You do not have to handle this alone. There are many resources that BCHS has available to offer. Brynn would want you to continue taking care of yourselves, and take care of each other.”

Brynn Addison Bentley, 16, of Hustonville went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 22, 2026. She was born in Danville, Kentucky on April 13, 2010, to Bolin Allen Bentley and Diana Louise Bierley Bentley of Hustonville. Brynn was a member of Southland Christian Church where she was involved
