Arbella Drum and Bugle Corps is an all-age drum and bugle corps, reborn of the original corps of the 70s and 80s, back when there was a drum corps in virtually every city and town in the area. Our goal is the thrill and pageantry of drum corps back to the North Shore community, so those who marched in the past can enjoy it once more, and those who have never marched can experience it for themselve

s and be inspired. We are a nautically-themed group, taking the lead from the Ship Arbella, which brought the original settlers to Salem in the 1600s. Our mission statement reads: “We will celebrate the rich tradition of drum corps and the nautical history of the seacoast through performing arts programs that educate and entertain, while creating an enriching experience for both our members and audiences.”

We are currently looking for musicians (any brass player/percussionist, not just drum corps alumni) with some experience, and color guard members. Arbella is registering as a 501(c)3 charity, please donate today at arbellacorps,org!

A ham radio enthusiast who took care of Manchester's public school grounds for 20 years was killed over the weekend when a radio tower he and a friend were dismantling collapsed.
