National Scleroderma Foundation Florida-Puerto Rico Scleroderma Foundation Florida & Puerto Rico Scleroderma occurs three to four times more often in women than in men.

Scleroderma is a chronic, progressive autoimmune disease like rheumatoid arthritis, lupus and multiple sclerosis, in which the body's immune system attacks it's own tissues. The disease, which literally means "hardskin", can cause thickening and tightening of skin as well as serious damage to a number of internal organs including the lungs, heart, kidneys, esophagus, and gastrointestinal tract. r some individuals the disease has serious impact on daily life. Although medications can sometimes help, there is no cure yet.

Join us for Scleroderma Insights: Advancing Knowledge, Improving Care, a free, in-person community event designed to support individuals and families living with scleroderma.

This half-day program brings together expert physicians, specialists, and patient voices to share practical guidance, the latest treatment updates, and real stories of resilience and hope.

Topics include:
• Understanding autoimmune diseases and scleroderma
• Managing Raynaud’s and day-to-day challenges
• Skin involvement in scleroderma
• Pulmonary hypertension
• Gastrointestinal involvement
• Interstitial lung disease
