Thinking about sponsoring a child? Meet 11 year-old Clark!

Clark is from the Philippines and has Factor V, with his knee joint and elbow being target joints.

Just $35 a month helps families get treatment for their child with a bleeding disorder and can prevent lifelong mobility issues. Funds may also be used for food, clothing, education, and transportation. Please consider sponsoring a child like Clark today or supporting our Community Fund.

From our program partner in Quezon City (Hemophilia Advocates of the Philippines):

"This assistance has been more than financial aid. It has been life-changing.

For families managing hemophilia and other bleeding conditions, medical emergencies are not rare events. They are recurring realities. A single bleeding episode can mean hospital confinement, laboratory tests, medicines, transportation to treatment centers, and days or weeks of lost income. Without immediate support, families are often forced to borrow money at high interest or delay critical care.

The funds provided by Save One Life allowed beneficiaries to access timely treatment, purchase essential medicines, and cover urgent medical-related expenses. This prevented complications, reduced long-term health risks, and eased the emotional burden that comes with financial uncertainty during a medical crisis.

Beyond medical care, the assistance helped stabilize households. Some families were able to cover daily needs such as food, utilities, and school expenses during periods when earning members could not work due to caregiving or recovery. This prevented deeper financial distress and protected children’s education from interruption.

Equally significant was the psychological impact. Many beneficiaries shared that the support made them feel remembered and valued. Living with a lifelong bleeding disorder can be isolating. Knowing that someone, even across borders, cares enough to provide tangible help restores hope and dignity. It reminds families that they are not alone in their journey.

For these 10 HAP members, Save One Life assistance meant timely treatment, preserved dignity, avoided debt, protected livelihoods, and renewed hope. It transformed moments of crisis into opportunities for recovery and resilience.

In a health system where bleeding disorder care remains limited and uneven, this partnership has truly made a profound and life-changing difference.

Thank you, Save One Life!"

We are grateful to all our sponsors, past and present. Your impact is profound.

Listen to our latest episode of Where Hope Begins: The Save One Life Podcast, where host Kai Sorensen sits down with Agnes Kisakye, founder of the Hemophilia Foundation of Uganda.

Agnes shares her journey from her nephew Jovan’s unexplained bleeding diagnosis in 2004 to building a national movement that has helped identify more than 450 people with hemophilia across Uganda, support treatment centers, and train more than 620 healthcare professionals.

She also speaks candidly about the stigma, abandonment, and financial strain many Ugandan mothers face, and why HFU’s entrepreneurship training program for women is essential to long-term care.

Her message to listeners is unmistakable: every single penny sent through Save One Life has a name.
