Come out and join us for a Post-Flood Community Listening Session

Dante has been through a lot this year and we want to hear from everyone. We’ll gather stories, ideas, and lessons learned from the recent flooding and discuss how planning, partnerships, and resources can help our community be better prepared next time.

Your voice matters and whether you were directly affected by the flood, or simply want to help Dante build resilience we would love to have you. Pizza and refreshments will be provided.

WORKDAY! October 1st, 9:30am-2pm: Participate in Flood Recovery Volunteer Efforts in Dante, VA

NEW! On July 25, the small community of Dante experienced a devastating flash flood, resulting in widespread damage throughout the community.

Join The Nature Conservancy (TNC), Boulder Look Stone Company of Bristol, Russell County, and the Dante Community Association for a collaborative workday focused on revitalizing the community's central playground.

During the flash flood, the w**d fabric was destroyed, and the mulch was washed away. Volunteers will work together to replace the mulch and enhance the Dante Miners Memorial. Additional activities include painting picnic tables and hanging a basketball goal net.
