Adriane Burr and Garrett Mehlenbacher both had three tackles, along with Stephens, who had three tackles and also picked off a pass.

“I couldn’t be more proud of how our team persevered and finished the season," head coach Chad Pieri said. “Our guys came out with energy, focus, and a determination to end their year—and for our seniors, their high school careers—on a high note. Beating a tough Newark team was a good way to wrap up the 2025 season. Offensively, we leaned on what we do best—running the football. Ethan Bauer has had back-to-back two of the most impressive performances I’ve seen in my time coaching, carrying the ball. Dawson Stephens gave us a huge spark as well, including a 44-yard score that showed his breakaway ability. Quarterback Brady Henchen ran hard, executing the offense and making smart decisions to cap his senior year off with a win. More than the stats, though, I’m proud of the heart and resilience this team showed. Our seniors—they’ve helped build a foundation for the younger guys to carry forward, and their legacy will be about toughness, teamwork, and pride in the DWC program.
Ending the season with a win like this is important for our program.. We’re going to miss our seniors, but I’m excited about what’s ahead for this program. The future is bright for DWC football.”
DWC finished its season 4-4.
