Madison County 4-H’ers had an absolute blast at Wahsega Fun Day yesterday! 🌞🐻
We loved reconnecting with counselors, participating in a variety of fun classes, and making memories with friends from across the district. It was the perfect way to kick off our summer of learning, adventure, and fun!
We can't wait to see what the rest of the summer has in store! ☀️🍀🎉

This September, our team will travel to Texas to compete in the National Food Challenge Competition. It is an incredible honor to represent both Georgia 4-H and Madison County 4-H on the national stage.

Reading a good book, staying cozy, getting enough sleep, or celebrating even the smallest win can go a long way in helping us recharge and reset.

Now is a great time to get your hay sampled and tested.

Knowing the quality of your hay is essential for making sound livestock feeding decisions. A forage test can help determine protein and energy levels, improve ration balancing, and potentially reduce supplementation costs.
Your ANR Extension Agent can also come out and collect hay samples for you to ensure proper, representative sampling from each cutting or lot.

If you don't test, it's just a guess!

Keep leafy greens refrigerated, store certain fruits separately, and be sure to use leftovers within a few days. Small changes in how you store food can help reduce waste and save money. 🍎🥬🥡
