The Parent Talk Action Team has recently started meeting again. A decision was made at the last meeting 4:00 pm on January 28. To hold meetings on the 4th Monday of each month at the Madison County Health Dept. At 4:00.
If you are interested in the health of your children and teens this is a meeting you may want to attend. Learning and helping others know the facts not the myths of health care.

The Teen Parent Support Group at MCHS celebrates another completed school term. The goal of the program is to keep these students in school to graduate. Support is given through monthly meetings where educational opportunities are provided. MC Mentor Program mentor Melanie Berryman coordinates the group's activities, and, along with school counselor Angelia Bruce, offers encouragement and love. (A big THANK YOU goes out to Beth Coker who makes the cake each year for the celebrations!)

Pictured are two of the nine student mentees in the Madison County Mentor Program who graduated May 2015. These young ladies are a part of the Teen Parent Support Group at MCHS. Their mentor, Melanie Berryman, and their counselor, Angelia Bruce, celebrate with them. Congratulations to Amagdali and Reyna and to their precious babies!

The Madison County Teen Matters Clinic has new summer hours... Now Through July the hours will be Mondays 1-7, Thursdays 1-4:30.
Plans are starting August 1st the clinic hours will be Monday - Thursday 1-7.
Wishing you a very happy summer... Remember... Know where your children are at all times.... And there is safety in chaperoned group activities... Camp, youth activities, etc... Keep them busy as much as possible... Limit the time of leaving alone when possible....take opportunities for teachable moments.
