Make your voice heard! The Georgia Department of Human Services - Division of Aging Services needs to hear from our community members across the state to better serve the aging and caregiving communities and individuals living with disabilities. Please participate in the survey at the link in this flyer to help shape the State Plan on Aging.

Please also note that due to circumstances out of our control, the crafts and closets cleanout event scheduled for tomorrow, April 18th has been canceled.

The holiday season can be especially difficult for those experiencing grief, and no one should have to face that journey alone. MART - Madison Area Resource Team and the Madison County Library invite the community to attend “Avoiding the Holiday Blues,” a supportive workshop focused on navigating grief and emotional stress during the holidays.

The event will take place Friday, December 12th at 10:00AM at the Madison County Library, with Kristen Hill from Kate’s Club leading the discussion. Participants will receive practical tips, compassionate guidance, and helpful resources for finding moments of comfort and connection throughout the season.

This workshop is made possible through a meaningful collaboration between Madison County Library, Madison Area Resource Team & Family Connection, and Kate’s Club, all dedicated to supporting individuals and families with grief, healing, and emotional well-being.

Learn more or RSVP by calling 706-795-5597 or emailing [email protected]

The Madison County Advisory Council on Aging has provided fall prevention posters to our local Madison County healthcare providers. Be on the lookout for these when you visit your physician!

As Fall Prevention Month comes to a close, we are hopeful that these efforts will bring awareness to the risks of falling and help reduce falls for our senior adult population. If your organization is interested in a fall prevention poster, please let us know!
