Broadband Project Update for the Greater East Grand Region - October 10, 2024

We are excited to let you know that the network build has been completed and the final phase is underway! Over the next four weeks, Fidium will turn on and test the network “electronics” which generate the light that travels across the newly placed fiber. This is essential in order to make sure that the broadband signals meet Fidium’s service standards. Once this is complete, service will be available to the areas that have not yet received a notice about installation scheduling.

Please note:
-All customers should pre-order services at https://www.fidiumfiber.com/
-If you are a Consolidated customer, once you are notified that service is available, you will need to place your order by phone, not on-line (866.471.2399). This is to ensure that the current service is turned off at the same time the new service is turned on.
-If you are not a Consolidated customer, you can complete your order online.
-A homeowner must be present for the installation.
-Homeowners who have already left for the winter, or will leave before the final electronics phase is complete, will need to schedule installation in the spring when they return.
-If your address is not listed on the Fidium website, please do not worry. Contact Sarah Strickland, the GEGEC broadband project coordinator, at [email protected] and leave your name, address and phone number. She will forward the information to the right person at Fidium, and they will get back to you to address the issue.
