The hardest part of doing this is saying goodbye. It's realizing that no matter how much you are willing to give, no matter how much love you have, you can't always hold off saying goodbye.

Did you forget Black Cat Appreciation day? We did. But it's always Black Cat Appreciation day if you have a black cat. Check out fab Fungi and sassy Satanus, both black cats needing a forever home. Fungi says she's just a fun guy, only slighted addicted to chaos. And Satanus is a teenager wanting to get out of her parents' home and be her own cat (while not having any responsibilities and being pampered daily by her new caretakers).

Gouda had a follow up today at the vet. Her leg is doing better, little by little. Her foot looks like her other foot and her temperature is normal. We take the small wins. To celebrate, we snuck her in to watch a movie at a local brewery. She was the star of the night.

Accidents happen. We think Gouda fell and hurt her hip. Had a bit of a scare finding her sleeping in her bowl, lethargic. I think she got a bit dehydrated and couldn't get to her water easily. She recovered from the dehydration pretty quickly, but was not weight bearing on her back leg. We immediately put her in a small kennel for observation and crate rest. Then off to the vet!

She's resting now, happy as a clam. She learned to purr and has been purring non stop! Purring heals bones, you know, so she's doing her part. We've got the vet in her case and are waiting to see improvement. We're likely in for a month of crate rest, so she's been moved into my bedroom for monitoring.

Welp. It's happened. One of the kittens (Gouda) somehow messed her leg up pretty bad. Waiting to figure out if the issue is a dislocation or break. She's also showing her inbreadness with a possible case of Kitten Cataracts (she's only 10 WEEKS OLD!) 🫠🫠🫠

Cheese platter kittens for a treat! And Samhain both wanted the treat and wanted the kittens. It must be hard to be a nanny cat separated from the kittens he knows he needs to nanny! Like and comment 'Free the Cheese!' to help Samhain get access to the babies!
