Hey Commuters! Connecticut Food Bank has started a new senior feeding program which will ultimately provide boxes of food to 1,600 senior citizens per month. Initially, this program will operate out of our Waterbury warehouse at 56 Eagle Street (the parking lot is actually on Railroad Hill). They are looking for small groups of volunteers to assist with packing boxes with pre-selected food items that will be distributed to seniors. The Time is usually a Wed. afternoon from 1:00-3:00 but for a group of 15-20 people we can be flexible as to the day/time..

Currently we have no group opportunities for individuals under 13 yrs of age. If you have children under the age of 13 they may do food drives with a parent. Your group may opt to do their own event or fundraiser to benefit Connecticut Food Bank or another local food pantry/soup kitchen.

Hello Commuters! Western's 2nd annual Western's Day of Service is anticipated to happen Friday, September 25th. This event is where the WCSU students volunteer to give back to the Danbury community. We'll keep you updated as the event draws closer. Happy summer!
