The WCSU Foundation fuels Western CT State University's effort to change lives. The students here at Western are the major beneficiaries of your generosity.

A tax-exempt 501 (c)(3) organization by the IRS, the Foundation effectively raises funds and carefully manages charitable gifts for the support of the university. Western Connecticut State University is blessed with many friends who have supported the university and helped its students along their journeys toward finding the opportunities that higher education affords. These generous friends inclu

de alumni and many others — but a common thread binds them: they all believe in Western’s mission and know that our students graduate as smart, energetic and successful members of the community. The Foundation’s total scholarship endowment is about $28 million, as of June 2024. Your contribution is critical in helping us live up to our institutional mission of educational excellence for all those who seek it. But most importantly, your gift symbolizes your trust in the role that Western plays in educating the next generation of successful and productive citizens. Let’s welcome back another amazing student worker, Nichole, to Institutional Advancement! 🎉

Nichole worked all summer 💪 and supported the office in a variety of ways!

She jumped right into action today at the Student Employment & Resource Fair, sharing her firsthand experience with fellow students about what it’s like to balance school and a job. ’rehiring

We’re so excited to welcome back two of our student workers, Zainab Ahmed and Bhavya Rana! 🎉

Both successfully completed summer internships in their respective fields and are now back in the Institutional Advancement office for the school year. We’re thrilled to have them back on the team and look forward to all they’ll accomplish this year! 💙

The WCSU Foundation was honored to join the Fairfield County’s Community Foundation Celebration, where leaders from across the region came together to recognize the impact of philanthropy, collaboration, and community investment.

We are especially excited to explore a new partnership between Western Connecticut State Universityand FCCF, which will strengthen opportunities for our students, expand community engagement, and support the shared mission of empowering the next generation of leaders.

Thank you to our colleagues at FCCF for welcoming us, and to the WCSU representatives in attendance — including Paul Steinmetz and Marcia Firsick— for helping build this meaningful connection. We look forward to the meaningful work ahead.
