Our Story

Serving Danbury, Connecticut and the surrounding area, Danbury-VITA, INC. offers free preparation and e-filing of Federal and State income tax returns to people with moderate income ($60,000 or less). We operate under the auspices of the IRS’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program, and returns are prepared, quality-reviewed and e-filed by IRS-certified, unpaid volunteers.

We offer two convenient locations: 152 Deer Hill Avenue, Danbury, CT and the New Milford (CT) Public Library. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
