Stop by the Library on June 20 for this exciting event!

Kick off the summer at Danbury Public Library with a high-energy, drop-in celebration inspired by the characters and worlds kids love.

Families can jump into a Pokémon scavenger hunt, create their own Pokémon characters, design mosaic-style Minecraft swords, and sculpt their own dinosaurs.

From gaming adventures to hands-on art and immersive sensory play, every station invites children to dig deeper—unearthing the stories behind their favorite fandoms while discovering stories of their own.

Please join us in congratulating our incredible intern, Alisson Espana, on her recent graduation from Western Connecticut State University! Alisson graduated magna cm laude with her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and a Minor in Sociology, as well as completing the Kathwari Honors Program at WCSU. She has balanced school, research, work, and her internship with us, and even fit in participation in Moot Court, a Consortium at Oxford, and a Pre-Law Study Abroad Program in Italy. Alisson, we are so proud of you! Congratulations! 🎉

The journey continues! ⭐ Last night our Youth Civic Influencers welcomed Danbury community leader, Eva Aveiga, as a guest speaker. Eva spoke about her journey in civic engagement, her career, community leadership, and personal power. Thank you Eva for inspiring our group!

It was an energy-filled day of fun, community, and celebration. Thank you to our Danbury Delegation and community partners who organized a day to celebrate our awesome city up in Hartford! We're already excited for next year.

Meet our new ✨Danbury Collective Youth Civic Influencers✨!! We're proud to introduce our first cohort: 16 Danbury high school students who are dedicated to leadership, civic engagement, and making Danbury a better place. They're passionate about issues like youth voice, immigration, the environment, financial literacy, and more.

This program is more than a space to learn. It's a platform to grow, lead, and create lasting change. And it's where adults can learn from and with youth on the issues that matter most to them. We're excited to invest in these incredible young changemakers!
