Office Closure Notice:
Our office will close at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 3 for our Staff Retreat.

We will also close at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 4 and remain closed through Monday, September 7 in observance of Labor Day.

Last week, CEE staff members Ann Marie and Connie attended a community fair at Linde, connecting with employees and sharing more about CEE’s mission and services. 💙

Today, on National Senior Citizens Day, we honor the wisdom, resilience, and profound impact of older adults who enrich our lives and strengthen our communities.

At The Center for Empowerment & Education, we believe that every person deserves to live with dignity, respect, and safety at every stage of life. Yet, many older adults face challenges such as abuse, neglect, financial exploitation, and isolation, making awareness, compassion, and community support more crucial than ever.

Our Prevention Education team had an inspiring visit to Ability Beyond, where we delivered an Act Out presentation on boundaries, healthy relationships, and technology safety. 💙

We were honored to have our Executive Director, Kelly Rybczyk, join the team and engage in the presentation and conversation.

We deeply value our ongoing partnership with Ability Beyond, which allows us to come together each year to provide education, share resources, and ensure participants know how to seek support whenever they need it.

It’s inspiring to see our team and community partners unite to create opportunities for learning, connection, and empowerment.

We are honored to be one of the organizations selected to receive a 2026 Neighborhood Grant from The Starbucks Foundation.

This grant will help us continue providing advocacy, prevention education, and support services to individuals and families affected by domestic violence and sexual assault in our community.
