Last week, CEE staff members Ann Marie and Connie attended a community fair at Linde, connecting with employees and sharing more about CEE’s mission and services. 💙

We’re grateful to Linde for supporting CEE as a SafeWalk sponsor as we celebrate 20 years of SafeWalk and two decades of bringing our community together in support of safer communities free from interpersonal violence.

Thank you, Linde plc, for being part of this important milestone and for standing with CEE!

Today, on National Senior Citizens Day, we honor the wisdom, resilience, and profound impact of older adults who enrich our lives and strengthen our communities.

At The Center for Empowerment & Education, we believe that every person deserves to live with dignity, respect, and safety at every stage of life. Yet, many older adults face challenges such as abuse, neglect, financial exploitation, and isolation, making awareness, compassion, and community support more crucial than ever.

Let’s celebrate the generations who have shaped our communities and reaffirm our commitment to building safer, stronger environments where every individual is valued and empowered.

💙 Together, we can help ensure every person is treated with the respect and dignity they deserve.

🎉 20 Years of SafeWalk. One Community. One Powerful Mission.

Since 2006, SafeWalk has brought our community together in support of The Center for Empowerment and Education’s vision of creating safer communities free from interpersonal violence.

This October, we invite you to be part of this milestone year.
Walk or run with us at one of our six in-person SafeWalk locations or participate virtually anytime during the month of October.

Every step helps support CEE’s no-cost and confidential services for individuals impacted by domestic and sexual violence.

Our Prevention Education team had an inspiring visit to Ability Beyond, where we delivered an Act Out presentation on boundaries, healthy relationships, and technology safety. 💙

We were honored to have our Executive Director, Kelly Rybczyk, join the team and engage in the presentation and conversation.

We deeply value our ongoing partnership with Ability Beyond, which allows us to come together each year to provide education, share resources, and ensure participants know how to seek support whenever they need it.

It’s inspiring to see our team and community partners unite to create opportunities for learning, connection, and empowerment.

We are honored to be one of the organizations selected to receive a 2026 Neighborhood Grant from The Starbucks Foundation.

This grant will help us continue providing advocacy, prevention education, and support services to individuals and families affected by domestic violence and sexual assault in our community.

A heartfelt thank you to the Starbucks partners who nominated us and The Starbucks Foundation for recognizing the importance of this work. Together, we are building safer, stronger communities.

August is National Make-A-Will Month! 💙

Planning for the future isn’t just about what you leave behind, it’s about the people, values, and causes that mean the most to you.

By including The Center for Empowerment and Education (CEE) in your will or estate plans, you help ensure that future generations have access to safety, support, education, and hope.

Legacy gifts can take many forms, like a bequest in your will, a charitable trust, or naming CEE as a beneficiary of your retirement plan.

Your legacy can help build a safer, stronger community for generations to come.
