The Southwest Georgia Academy Class of 1996 celebrated a wonderful 30-year reunion this weekend at Quail Country Plantation. Classmates enjoyed reconnecting and sharing memories throughout the weekend, highlighted by a tour of the Southwest Georgia Academy campus on Saturday and a special track dedication ceremony. The event was a meaningful opportunity to reflect on the past, celebrate lasting friendships, and honor the school's legacy.

The track at Southwest Georgia Academy was dedicated in honor of Carl Hobbs in recognition of more than 20 years of hard work, leadership, and commitment to the school’s track program. Through decades of dedicated coaching, Coach Hobbs helped develop student-athletes both on and off the track, inspiring excellence, perseverance, and sportsmanship. Naming the track in his honor serves as a lasting tribute to his impact on countless athletes and his enduring legacy at Southwest Georgia Academy.
