Who is Ask Damascus? Ask Damascus, a local citizen formed political action committee has a history of defending citizen involvement in Damascus and is the only organization in Damascus defending citizens from an over spending government. In 2008 in response to ever increasing taxes and fees Ask Damascus allowed voters to have a say and they passed Measure #3-282 giving citizens the right to vote on taxes and fees. While the vote favored the measure by more than 2 to 1 the CIty Councilors were unanimous in their opposition. On October 1, 2007 the City Council adopted ordinance 2007-19 restricting the right of citizens of Damascus to petition their government. Due to these restrictions Ask Damascus was forced to use paid gatherers to get signatures to let citizens vote on restoring their initiative. November 4, 2008, 77.24% of citizens voted against the City Council and won back their initiative process. Hope to see you at our kickoff. It should be a fun time. New Section. Additional Powers Retained by Citizens

After March 1, 2011, the council shall not submit any ordinance or plan to Metro, the L.C.D.C., the D.L.C.D. or their successors until it is ratified by a majority vote of the city's qualified electors voting in an election where at least 50 percent of the registered voters cast a ballot, or the election is a General Election in an even-numbered year. The council shall provide by law a means of summarizing for the ballot the key material provisions of any such ordinance or plan, including the economic impact and the costs imposed on residents and property owners within the city.

You might remember James Comey who investigated the Clinton email scandal and the Clinton Foundation, and made the final decision to not recommend prosecution by the DOJ. It turns out that the Clinton Foundation was audited by the law firm DLA Piper. One of the executives there was in charge of the Clinton Foundation audit. Who was it? Peter Comey, James Comey’s brother. Peter Comey held an executive position with the Washington law firm that did the audit of the Clinton foundation in 2015. Peter Comey was officially DLA Piper “Senior Director of Real Estate Operations for the Americas,” in 2015 when the Clinton Foundation scandals first broke and Hillary was preparing her Presidential campaign. Not only was DLA Piper, the firm where Comey’s brother worked, involved in the audit of the Clinton Foundation, but according to the foundation’s donor records, DLA Piper has given between $50 - 100k to the Foundation.
It gets even cozier. DLA Piper executive Douglas Emhoff is taking an extended leave of absence from the firm. Who is Douglas Emhoff? He is the husband of KAMALA HARRIS! Just a coincidence? Amazing if it is. You can't make this stuff up!

Georgia Governor Kemp used Dominion Voting after Texas and Florida rejected them - Dominion has a lobbyist named Jared Thomas - Jared Thomas was Governor Brian Kemp’s chief of staff and press secretary from 2012 to 2015.
