Staff Appreciation is coming up May 6th-10th!

Please consider helping the PTO make this week extra special by contributing in one of the following ways.

Great Salt Bay PTO extends a heartfelt THANK YOU to our school community! The students have read over 50,000 minutes! We're incredibly proud of our readers and grateful for your support, which made our fundraiser a success. Don’t forget that tomorrow is the final day to enter in all minutes and donations.

Please make sure to spend any prize money your student earned with online donations in the prize store (store located on your student's individual online account - link below) by Friday 03/08/2024. Any prize money not spent within 10 days after our Read-A-Thon ends will no longer be available. The prize store cannot be reopened once it is closed.

We're thrilled to announce that our Read-A-Thon has reached the half-way point! The kids are doing a fantastic job with reading over 29,000 minutes so far. Yes, that number is correct!

If you haven't done so already, please take a moment to activate your child’s personal reader page by clicking on the following link:

Once you have set up their personal reader page, enter in all the minutes your child has read starting with February 1st and through today, if you haven't done so already.

Don't forget to share your child’s personal reader page with all your friends and family. This can be easily done through their personal reader page by text, email, or Facebook post!

The GSB Read-a-thon is back!
The start date is Thursday February 1, 2024

About one week before our Read-a-thon starts we will send home instructions on how to activate your reader's personal page. This is where you will be able to view and record their progress.

Read-a-thons actually get your reader excited about reading and it gives friends and family the opportunity to encourage your child to read even more.

We've chosen Read-a-thon because it will not take much of your time, gives your child a reason to read and helps in the development of stronger reading skills.

We hope EVERYONE participates!

The GSB PTO is once again organizing a Virtual Giving Tree! If you intend to purchase gifts for your child's classroom we hope that you will find this useful. Please give only what you can. At our request, teachers have provided us with lists of wished-for class supplies and they are all in the Signup Genius for you to peruse. We have linked to Amazon class wishlists whenever possible. Don't see your child's teacher on the list? Nut-free class snacks and pre-sharpened Ticonderoga #2 pencils are always appreciated, or consider giving to one of our participating Specials Teachers (PE, Art, Tech, etc) or supporting program leaders (Social Work, OT, Spec. Ed, PBIS, etc). The PTO is also accepting donations via Venmo to ensure that all participating classes receive a gift from their wishlist. You can donate via Venmo at gsb-pto.

JOG-A-THON is TOMORROW!

If you wish to donate to the GSBPTO please return donation envelopes by tomorrow, Thursday 10/5 with cash or check, or use the Venmo information printed on the envelope.

This is one of GSBPTO’s biggest FUNdraisers and we look forward to it being super successful again this year!!

It’s that time of year again
JOG-A-THON!
In the next couple of days your kids should be coming home with envelopes for donations for the PTO/school. Donations can be made via cash, check or using Venmo information on envelopes. Please return all envelopes to teachers on/by next Thursday 10/5.
This is one of GSBPTO’s Biggest fundraisers and we look forward to it being super successful again this year!!
