Having the conversation is never easy, but it does help. Make sure your teen knows about the connection between cannabis use and mental health.

Alcohol may seem helpful when it comes to managing stress, but in fact it takes a toll on our mental health. Sharing this message from Maine CDC because your mental health matters!

Yikes! Our shelves that hold pantry items for community share tables are looking pretty sad. We have been so lucky to have some stellar partners and individuals keeping us going this summer, but we still have been decreasing the amount of food we are sending out, which doesn't match the food access needs we are seeing as we head into the colder seasons.

Please check out our Amazon wish-list, reach out about other ways to support, or donate directly on our website. We appreciate every bit of support!

Prescription stimulants used to treat ADHD don't play nicely with alcohol. Make sure your teen knows the risks around mixing alcohol with prescription meds.

Wow! Maine Harvest Bucks is back to a 1:1 match, which means if you use EBT at a market like Damariscotta Farmers' Market or Boothbay Farmers Market, you get the same amount back in coupons for more fruits and veggies. Visit the info booth learn more! 🥳

Big news! MAINE HARVEST BUCKS IS BACK TO A 100% MATCH, effective today, Monday, 9/21! Now when you spend SNAP/EBT at any Maine Harvest Bucks market or farm stand, you’ll receive the same amount in vouchers for more fresh veggies, fruits, or plants to grow food. We are thrilled to be able to do this right in the middle of harvest season, when farmers have so much bounty to share and the time is right for stocking up on storage crops.

How is this possible?
🫜The State of Maine nutrition fund
🫜The release of more state Nutrition Incentive Funding with the passage of LD 468 earlier this year
🫜A whole lot of successful fundraising this spring and summer
Now we know that we have enough to match Maine Harvest Bucks all through this fall and winter.

Maine Harvest Bucks is the lynchpin of our statewide programs, is the reason SNAP/EBT is accepted at more than 70 markets and farms, and brings over $950,000 in direct, full-price retail sales to vendors each year. We are relieved to be able to do this now, not only for all the shoppers who can stretch their food budget a little further, but also for all of the hardworking farmers and producers who depend on these sales to keep growing. We’ll always have to fundraise to keep this program thriving, and we could always use your help. Prescription stimulants can really help folks with ADHD. But using your friend's medication carries its own serious risk. Know the risks around misusing prescription meds.

We love this message from Maine CDC! Life can be overwhelming, but there are ways to manage stress and tasks without turning to stimulants.
