We are still buzzing with energy from "Raising Capital: What Small Businesses Need to Know to Grow in 2026," our special event in partnership with City National Bank, at Riverside City Hall on February 11. From the packed house to the vibrant conversations, it was clear that the spirit of entrepreneurship in the Inland Empire is alive and well.
We were honored to welcome "California's Banker," the Honorable Fiona Ma, CPA, California State Treasurer, as the event’s keynote speaker. Treasurer Ma provided great insights into how we can recycle our dollars within California to keep our economy growing. Treasurer Ma was introduced by our gracious host, Riverside Councilmember Clarissa Cervantes. In addition, the opening included remarks by Pacific Community Fund CEO Filiberto Gonzalez and City National Bank Vice President Jennifer Ceballos Zamora.
True to the name of the event, City National Bank's Jabari Grant and Pacific Community Fund's Imelda Siocheng provided a deep-dive presentation on what small business owners need to know to prepare for financing in 2026. Based on the feedback, entrepreneurs and bankers alike were impressed by their presentation! But the magic didn't just happen on stage! The networking sessions before and after the event were electric. It was inspiring to see so many entrepreneurs connecting, sharing ideas, and building the networks that make our communities thrive.
PCF extends its most heartfelt special thanks to City National Bank for its partnership and commitment to community lending. If you were not able to make it, but would like to learn more about the presentation, please reach out to us here.
