December 12, 2022, Three (3) members of our Post attended the swearing-in of elected officers of the Daly City Government. We were honored to witness the swearing-in of the New Mayor and Assistant Mayor of Daly City. Also, the three (3) City Council Members were sworn-in.  Our Post is especially honored to to know, Pamala DiGiovanni  (Daly city council woman) a long time, supporter and advocate of the VFW in Daly city. Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8750 Old Glory of Daly City were acknowledged and thanked for attending the ceremony

Post-8750-This morning 11/30/22, Three (3) Patriot Pen and a Teacher of the Year awards winners were presented with certificates, medals, and checks. The students and Teacher are from West Portal Lutheran Elementary School.

Monday, November 14, 2022.
Our Post was invited to the 2nd-grade class at Jefferson Elementary School, San Francisco. Post Commander (me) and a Trustee Skip were presented with Happy Veteran's Cards written by the students, we each received framed plaques signed by the students thanking us for our service. We were asked to give the Happy Veterans cards to Veterans in the patients in the VA hospital.
These 2nd-grade students were amazing. We spend 2 hours answering questions about the military and wanted to know our part in the war in Vietnam. We presented the students with Poppys and U.S. Flags. Thank you, Principal Burger and 2nd-grade teacher Sequoia Baioni-McLaughlin of Jefferson Elementry School, San Francisco, Ca. for having us.
