Last week, UCC had the greatest honor to represent Uzbek community in celebration of Navruz at San Francisco City Hall

Walking through City Hall and seeing our culture celebrated in such a historic American space was a moment of pure pride. Hearing Mayor Daniel Lurie speak so warmly about Navruz and the diverse communities that celebrate it felt like a true milestone for us. Seeing our traditions, our music, and our heritage shared alongside our Turkish, Kazakh and Azerbaijani brothers and sisters in the heart of SF was a powerful reminder of how far we’ve come. There’s a unique kind of pride in being an immigrant and realizing that our cultural roots don’t just exist in our homes, they belong on the grandest stages of this country, too.

A massive thank you to for providing the incredible, delicious food that allowed everyone to get a real taste of our culture. We also want to give a special shoutout to our amazing community members who donated traditional Norin, Halvaitar and Bichak. We couldn’t have showcased our hospitality so beautifully without all your generosity!
We are so proud to live in a city that opens its doors to our holidays and honors our spirit. This wasn’t just a celebration; it was a moment where we felt seen, respected, and truly at home🇺🇸🇺🇿

Huge shoutout to the for hosting an absolutely fantastic Nowruz Bayram 🌷

Bringing all the Turkic communities under one roof to celebrate our shared heritage, music, and traditions was nothing short of legendary.
We know that pulling off an event of this scale is a massive mountain to climb. The late nights, the coordination, and the pure heart put into every detail didn’t go unnoticed—you guys made it look effortless! The energy was unmatched, and seeing our cultures blend so beautifully was the highlight of our spring.

At UCC, we are beyond proud to have shared this space with you. It’s moments like these that remind us how powerful our unity truly is. This is just the beginning—we can’t wait to team up again and keep this momentum going!

Dear Cherished Members of Our Uzbek Community,
As families across the Bay Area prepare to gather for Thanksgiving, I am filled with profound gratitude for each of you who make our Uzbek Community Center a true home away from home.

This year has been extraordinary for our community. Together, we’ve shared our rich heritage through memorable events – from the vibrant Turkic Cultural Festival at Embarcadero Plaza to our joyous Eid al-Adha celebration that united our families in tradition. Our participation in the Silicon Valley Fall Festival and our Ping Pong Tournament have built meaningful bridges with our neighbors while showcasing our beautiful culture.

I’m especially proud of our expanded scholarship program, investing in the bright futures of our youth. These achievements would not be possible without our dedicated volunteers who give countless hours, our wise Board Directors and Executive Team members who guide our vision, and our generous donors whose contributions sustain our programs.

As we reflect on this season of thanksgiving, please know that each of you has contributed to creating this beautiful community. You are not just members of an organization; YOU ARE FAMILY.

May your Thanksgiving be filled with warmth, delicious food, and cherished moments with loved ones.

With heartfelt gratitude,

Qudrat Rahimhodzhayev
President of UCCSFBA
