“THE COST OF FOLLOWING JESUS”
(I am not only teaching theory but true to life experience.)

(LUKE 9:57-62) As they were walking along the road, a man said to him, “I will follow you wherever you go.” Jesus replied, “Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man (MESSIAH) has no place to lay his head.” Jesus said to another man, “Follow me.” But the man replied, “Lord, first let me go and bury my father.” Jesus said to him, “Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and proclaim the kingdom of God.” Still another said, “I will follow you, Lord; but first let me go back and say good-by to my family.” Jesus replied, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.”
The Lord did not promise anyone to be rich, to be famous and to have a happy life. There is always a “COST” of following the LORD JESUS.
(MATTHEW 5:12), Jesus said; “People persecuted the prophets who were before you.” Again He said in (JOHN 15:20), “If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you.”

When I followed Jesus, I remembered an Idiom or Slang, “Face the music” which nobody in this generation understand. It means to accept the consequences, especially of one’s own action.

Before the Martial Law, in 1960 I was a night club singer in Manila and while I was singing on different night clubs with different orchestras, I used to compose songs which I sold to Vicor Recording. The recording company wanted to record my own compositions so to promote me to be exposed to the public before making recordings, I appeared on television shows and was published on Magazines. But when God called me to serve HIM I immediately followed JESUS leaving the entertainment world which I should have the chance to be on the movie industry. But God has his own plan for my life. I never dreamed I can write sermons for my website which God uses for my worldwide ministry. All the glory belongs to God alone.

It was a drastic change in my life because when I become a Pastor, my wife and our children suffered severe poverty. There were times we don’t know where to get food for the next day. I had been misunderstood by my fellow workers in the Lord. I had been persecuted not only by the unbelievers but persecuted by fellow Christians even until now.

At that time I was working in the farm to support my family, many times the devil enticed me to go back to the entertainment world. But I remembered what the Lord said in Luke 9:57-62, the cost of following Jesus. So I burned all the musical accompaniments which cost me a fortune. I can’t sing in an orchestra without those pieces, but a suit-case full of my musical arrangements, I burned all so not to go back to the world. I preferred and chooses to live in poverty in the midst of persecutions to follow Jesus.

Following Jesus Christ is not a joke. Storms of life my family and I still encounters until now. It will not end while we are still living in this world. Sufferings will only end when we get to heaven with the Lord.

To those who read this message, don’t ever believe that material things and money are true blessings from God. “JESUS IS THE BLESSING”. Satan can make anyone rich and to be famous by preaching sugar coated gospel and through ill-gotten gains or by dis-honest means.

For 44 years of serving the Lord, now, God provided me just enough to enjoy. I am not rich neither I am poor. I no longer worry for our daily bread. The lord is faithful to His promise. (HEBREWS 13:5) Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

“TO FOLLOW JESUS IS NOT A JOKE. THERE IS A PRICE TO PAY.”

“What you see is the City of Damascus before and now it is ruined.”

“THE CITY OF DAMASCUS”

The city of Damascus remains the oldest continuously inhabited on the face of the earth and all its long history, it has never been totally destroyed. Yet Isaiah predicts that in the last days, Damascus will be totally annihilated in a matter of moment. Isaiah wrote: “The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away, from being a City and it shall be a ruinous heap. And in that day it shall come to pass, that the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh shall wax lean.” (ISAIAH 17:1 & 4)

Isaiah’s depiction of Damascus comes at a time when the glory of Jacob or Israel is made very thin speaking in the same term of this prophecy if Israel’s glory were in a thinner. Be transparent. The only condition under which Israel can survive the world’s outrage at heading Syria with a nuclear attack would be if Syria hit Israel first with weapon of mass destruction.

(ISAIAH 17:14) Behold at eveningtide trouble; and before the morning he (meaning Damascus) is no more. This is the portion of them that spoil us, and the lot of them that rob us.

“THE ENEMIES OF GOD”

(PSALM 83:1-3) O God, do not remain quiet; do not be still. For, behold Thine enemies make an uproar; And those who hate Thee have exalted themselves. They make shrewd plans against Thy people, and conspire Thy treasured ones.

(PSALM 83:6-8) The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites; Moab, and Ammon, and Amalek; Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre; Assyrea also had joined with them; They have become a help to the children of Lot.

“EDOM” is another name of Esau along with Ismael. Esau is one of the principal fore-fathers of the Arab peoples. The Edomites and Amalekites are the descendants of Esau. The Moabites and Ammonites are the descendants of Lot. Moab is located in the Egyptian Sinai. Biblical Ammon is now Central Jordan.

“HAGAR” (Mother of Ishmael) Hagarites are people that comes from her. These are the ancient people of today. The Hagarites represents modern day Saudi Arabia the heart and soul of Islam. “GEBAL” is the City of Lebanon. “GAZA” Amalek and the Philistines. “ASSHUR” is Syria and Iraq, helping the children of Lot which is Lebanon, (Hisbalah). All these Nations demands death of Israel and death of America.

These enemies of God were fighting each other and destroyed Damascus with the help of Russia, Gog and Magog were mentioned two times. First is in the time of Anti-Christ, (Revelation 16:16). And second, at the end of the millennium reign of Christ (Revelation 20:7-9). Armageddon will occur two times.

It is necessary to talk about Armageddon because before it occurs, the RAPTURE of the Church will take place. (1 Thes. 4:16-18) Only those who will be raptured can hear the trumpet call of God. (1 Cor. 15:51-52) (2 Thes. 2:1-12) (Rev. 4:1)

(EZELIEL 38 and 39) This massive offensive, the Gog and Magog war takes place during the time of signing of peace and security with-in the State of Israel. (PSALM 83 / ISAIAH 17). After a horrible catastrophe the world will be so terrified that they will cry a leader powerful enough to take over a one world government, and enforce peace. Predicted in Revelation 13:4, So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast and they worshiped the beast, saying “Who is the beast? Who is able to make war with him?” The Dragon is Satan and the Beast is the Antichrist. It’s clear from the exclamation of the phrase to the Antichrist that the Antichrist is the deliverer of the terrified world. The horrible war they have just witnessed. And the DESTRUCTION OF DAMASCUS. The Antichrist is living right now. Because of the destruction of Damascus had already occurred.

(ISAIAH 17:1) The “oracle” concerning Damascus. “Behold, Damascus is about to be removed from being a city. And it will become a fallen ruin.” This prophecy has happened. “TETELESTAI” “PAID IN FULL”

When Jesus was hanging on the cross, the Bible says He hardly looked human. (ISAIAH 52:14) (Today’s English Version) “Many people were shocked when they saw Him; He was so disfigured that He hardly looked human.”

The apostle Paul wrote scripture using illustration that were familiar to the people of his time. There is a certain practice that the Romans did that is frightening. If you are arrested and brought to a Roman court, they would write down every crime of which you were convicted and they would put down what they call a “CERTIFICATE OF DEATH” and they will nail it to your cell door.

When you leave out serving your time and were released, they would write on the certificate of death, the Greek word “TETELESTAI” and that meant “PAID IN FULL”.

(COLOSSIANS 2:14); “Having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us and which was hostile to us; and He (GOD) has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.”

The debt we owe to God we cannot pay, when Jesus Christ went to the cross GOD nailed your certificate of death to the cross. This pictures the fact that each one of us is a sinner. We can’t pay what we owed to God and so that certificate of death that we owed, God shows that we are forever excluded from His presence. When Jesus Christ went to the cross, He nailed your certificate of death to His cross, and on it every sin that you ever committed. Then when Jesus cried His next the last cry on the cross, He screamed out the word that was the bottom of the certificate, He screamed out the word “TETELESTAI” which means “PAID IN FULL”.

What Jesus is saying, is that your certificate of death to God had been paid in full. All you have to do to come to know Jesus Christ have your sin forgiven and believe and say; “I believe that you died for my sins Lord Jesus, I received the gift of pardon that you purchase for canceling my debt that I owed God.” And once you do that, new birth will be put in you. It is call a new birth and this new life will give you the desire to follow God. And Christ who come and live in you will give you the ability to grow in Him. From that moment your eternal destiny is changed. Make that decision right now. Sin no more and live godly life through the power of the Holy Spirit.
