6𝓽𝓱 𝓡𝓮𝓰𝓲𝓸𝓷𝓪𝓵 𝓛𝓪𝓽𝓲𝓷𝓸 𝓨𝓸𝓾𝓽𝓱 𝓛𝓮𝓪𝓭𝓮𝓻𝓼𝓱𝓲𝓹 𝓒𝓸𝓷𝓯𝓮𝓻𝓮𝓷𝓬𝓮 ✨🎯📈
On Thursday, March 12th, around 500 people, including senior students from all local public High Schools in Dalton City and Whitfield County attended the 6th Latino Youth Leadership Conference in Dalton State College. The Conference, aims to empower Latino and Hispanic youth from our community. Through workshops, presentations, and networking opportunities, students were able to engage with college students and professionals who shared similar backgrounds and journeys. They learned about leadership, education, pathways to College and obtained resources and guidance about their College journey, ensuring a confident leap into their next chapter.
The conference featured Mrs. Sherie Fuchko, First Lady for Dalton State College; Mr. Darren Pierce, Whitfield County Sheriff, Mr. Santiago Marquez CEO of the LAA; Kristhel Marcia, Trainer Manager, Mohawk Industries and Johnatan Garcia, Product Development Analyst at Mohawk Industries.

El Jueves 12 de marzo, alrededor de 500 personas, incluyendo a estudiantes del último año de todas las escuelas preparatorias públicas locales de Dalton y el condado de Whitfield asistieron a la 6ta. Conferencia Regional de Liderazgo Juvenil Latino en Dalton State College. La conferencia busca empoderar a los jóvenes latinos e hispanos de nuestra comunidad. A través de talleres, presentaciones y oportunidades para establecer contactos, los estudiantes pudieron interactuar con estudiantes universitarios y profesionales con trayectorias y experiencias similares. Aprendieron sobre liderazgo, educación, caminos hacia la universidad y obtuvieron recursos y orientación sobre su trayectoria universitaria, lo que les permitió avanzar con confianza hacia su siguiente etapa.
La conferencia contó con la participación de la Sra. Sherie Fuchko, Primera Dama de Dalton State College; el Sr. Darren Pierce, Sheriff del Condado de Whitfield; el Sr. Santiago Márquez, Director Ejecutivo de LAA; Kristhel Marcia, Gerente de Capacitación de Mohawk Industries; y Johnatan Garcia, Analista de Desarrollo de Producto de Mohawk Industries.
